To play your deck at an official ("DCI-sanctioned") tournament you need a deck registration sheet. Here you can download such a sheet pre-filled with the cards in this deck!
Please note: This is not an official DCI service. So please always make extra sure that the sheet contains all the cards in your deck and fulfils all DCI requirements. If you notice anything wrong, please let us know. DCI is a trademark of of Wizards of the Coast LLC.
The deck works around the typical control cards, the difference here is the search for azcanta, we use 4 copies of evolving wilds, 4 fetid pools and hieroglyphic illumination instead of glimmer of genius because we need to transform search for azcanta in the next turn to enter the battlefield.
We use 2 copies of The Scarab God and just 3 of Torrential Gearhulk, the rest of the deck are removal and counters, just full of responds.
We need to worried to mono red aggro. The Approach of the second sun isn't a problem, the temur and sultai are so slow for us and we can control that match. Abzan and Esper tokens are easy.
For the mono red aggro we use all removal with gain life, essence extraction, vraska's contempt and the fast fatal push.
In sideboard we have our own package of control match and aggro match... for control we use 4 duress, 1 metallurgic summonings, 3 negate and 1 treasure map. and aggro match we use 1 Archfiend of Ifnir (we have 12 cycling cards) 1 Yahenni's Expertise, 1 Battle at the Bridge (Hazoret and gain life) and 3 Gifted Aetherborn.
Field of ruin are essential for another Azcanta. Are bad for us.
For Midrange like temur or sultai we use 3 negate and archfiend of Ifnir.
Cards that we have a problem are:
These cards are a sure counter, there are so dangerous and we can lose the match. Just play with patience.
