To play your deck at an official ("DCI-sanctioned") tournament you need a deck registration sheet. Here you can download such a sheet pre-filled with the cards in this deck!
Please note: This is not an official DCI service. So please always make extra sure that the sheet contains all the cards in your deck and fulfils all DCI requirements. If you notice anything wrong, please let us know. DCI is a trademark of of Wizards of the Coast LLC.
This deck is currently being assembled. It is entirely untested.
Colorless mill engine that uses solely artifacts to steadily mill opponents for more and more over time. Walls eat damage in the early rounds while you tick up your Chronomaton and do a little early milling with Relic Golem and Grindclock. Relic Golems should be prioritized, as they can deal heavy damage early on through Rogue's Passage or Suspicious Bookcase, making them great red herrings for removal before you get out Clockwork Dragon or Hangarback Walker or Pentavus. Once the bigger machines are out, their counters should be put to use as often as possible in order to trigger Animation Module, which will trigger Altar of the Brood and untap/fuel Grinding Station, both of which are vital to the milling strategy of this deck.
The Clockwork Vorrac is there to assist if you need Trample to hit your opponent for some reason. Consulate Skygate can be subbed in for early flying protection. Detection Tower gets around Hexproof if necessary. Grindstone is here as an optional card for when I play this deck casually; its inclusion is not necessary and should be excluded when playing in the Modern format.
The feel of the deck is that everything should be moving in small intervals every turn as the machine assembles itself in leaps and bounds. Land utility and mana management is important, as once the Machine gets moving, you'll need to be churning out Servos and Thopters like nobody's business in order to mill your opponent(s) relentlessly. If you oil your machine well, it will give unto you the wonderful growls of frustration and screams of despair that are the music all mill players enjoy.
