The latest song Shimmer from world famous Artist ZUR is finally out!
Fresh out the oven, he even brought the latest hot hitting artist Doomsday in the mix!
Check it out and enjoy the crazy tunes these two came up with!

This is the deck profile for my competitve Zur the Enchanter EDH!
I will break this down into specific collums, which you can simply switch to, if you just need certain information about the deck, and not the whole package!
Otherwise, enjoy this deck profile, I will post updates and more card options in the end, so you know how you can improve the deck even further.

  1. Should I play this deck?
As always - I will give you some general idea if this deck is the one for you, so if you don't agree with the points below, maybe this is not the one for you.

You should play this deck if:

  • you like combo based decks
  • you have an adequate card pool or a lot of money on your hands to actually build this pretty expensive pile of garba...I mean deck
  • you don't mind losing your friends
  • or your dignity
  • or your playgroup
  • or your family and/or loved ones. Man, sometimes people become crazy, when they lose all the time.

You should NOT play this deck if:

  • you like creatures way more then anything else
  • you don't like combo based decks
  • you dont play commander ( ͡° ͜ʖ ͡°)
  • you don't have at least the land base (mana fix is actually [almost, quite certainly] everything in this deck...)
  • your budget is rather low
  • you don't like storm (but dude, come on, who doesn't?)
  1. Why Zur the Enchanter ?
Zur himself is commonly called the Necropotence on a stick.
To be quite honest, that is not correct, but due to his ability, to cheat enchantments with CMC 3 or less from you deck into play on attack declare.
And let's be honest here - which enchantment in a competitive setting is better then Necropotence [if you have access to black]? None, period.

  2. How to win
If you just take a slight glance at the deck, you see that it obviously not a creature based deck like my Animar, Soul of Elements competitive EDH.
Instead, there are two win conditions in the deck, and my build revolves around finding the proper pieces to execute one of them as fast as possible.

2.1 Storm
The main win condition is Aetherflux Reservoir. The easiest way to pump up your spell count is by playing an Isochron Scepter imprinting Dramatic Reversal.
As long as you have at least so many mana rocks on your side of the field to activate Isochron again, you basically win the game. The roughly four million included counter spells in the deck will greatly improve your chances winning.

2.2 Doomsday
Here we go. I love this card. I really do. The basic idea is to create a pile of five cards including funny stuff like Laboratory Maniac (who is the main win condition in here, what the f*** was that about a NOT creature based deck, herp derp).
You will draw into an empty deck, and the Maniac will win you the game. Also, the amount of cantrips included make this a whole lot easier.
I will include a guide for ALL the possible piles with this list possible, so you can just pilot through this text wall to see how you can win. [Coming soon, I'm a lazy City of Ass, and I gotta do...stuff, so wait a bit please.]
In short it works like this:

  1. Play Doomsday
  2. Draw Laboratory Maniac
  3. .....
  4. ??????
  5. Profit.

Easy, right?

  1. How to improve the deck
There are some cards I'm currently missing and I will most likely not get my hands on soon. Those are
    Candelabra of Tawnos
    Ancient Tomb
    Timetwister
    Imperial Seal

Those are a fine addition to the deck, and if you have them, put them in. You can cut a Plains, a Swamp and the Faerie Macabre (unless you play against people that run breakfest hulk, then DON'T cut this. I do, so it's in here.)

This conludes the review of ZUR's latest track, if you feel there is something to add, post your comments down below. Also, please like, subscribe, turn on notifications, DM me your credit card info and check out my Patreon to support me and the content I'm producing!
Until next time :)

/// Update section ///
16.01:
Cut X to include Y:
Swamp for Polluted Delta
Thought Scour for Swan Song
Serum Visions for Mana Drain
Negate for Counterspell
??? for Opt (actually already forgot what I cut, it was a cantrip 100%, but Opt is way better)

Oh, and PLEASE play the promo Zur, the one shown in the upper right is ugly as hell.
