Kaalia of the Vast (EDH / Commander)

Hi thanks for looking at this Deck :D.

Let's make this one quick.

Your gonna like it if:
You like big creatures
You like complicated and versitile Deckbuilding
A litte bit of graveyard shannenigans
Explosive plays
Aggressive Strategies
Winning with cratures/damage

You'll dislike it if:
You like big draw and giant hands
You like combo stuff (though there is one combo in this deck)
You don't want to be to dependent on your commander
You want to have a long game

This Kaalia of the Vast Deck is a midrange deck with enough power in the late game to contest some control decks.
But first what does she do? Kaalia puts a Demon, Dragon or Angel Creature from your Hand onto the battlefield attacking when she declares an attack. That means we want to utilize enter the battlefield effects and damage triggers of big creatures like Lord of the Void or Iona, Shield of Emeria.
You want to press Kaalia out as fast as you can so she can connect to somebody with one of your fatties. This Commander and especially this build of her are very explosive. I build more of an aggressive deck then a control one just because in my opinion that suits Kaalia more. That means you wanna finnish games fast with your big mean creatures.
So that is the general gameplan but how? Well you mulligan very aggressive for a hand with at least 2 lands and a 2 cost mana rock and at least one fatty ideally you'll also want some boots. Crazy right? That's the dream but you won't get that often so normally you'll play Kaalia on turn 3-4 with a fatty and achieved your first goal.
Also an option is if you have a boardwipe and/or maybe a wheel effect you can play a slow game and grind it out, that's not as effective and splashy as the other option but a bit more reliable.

Once you successfully untap with a intact and alive Kaalia it gets very interessting for you because depending on your hand most of your games will play different from this point on.
To sum it up your planning on achieving a very threatening board presence early on in the game with Kaalia's ability and win of off that tempo.

I love this deck it was my very first commander and over the years it evolved vastly (hehehe). I'm at a very happy point with the deck and I only make adjusments when new cards come out.

Please don't be drawn away by the heavy price tag on my deck! I only play commander and I love mtg so I invested alot of money. You Don't need any original dual lands and this deck can be build very well on a budget.
