This deck is a 7 on the 1-10 power scale.

The goal is to ....... Machine Gun ... zombies onto the field.
Hence the name ... Mi-zeek-Gun ... (Zeek's another name for zombie)

I have revised this deck many times and a few of the revisions were fun enough that I'm saving that deck list as its own thing. This is the Every turn is my turn version. The final version didn't have any of this in it.

I did a quick calculation and the avg CMC drops from 3.34 to 2.75 once the Commander is out. (assuming i don't make more changes). This doesn't account for any of the other cost reducers in the deck.
Zombies can be reduced to free or almost free a number of ways in the deck, and I've found it happens pretty often when I play this deck.

The following notes are for the final version, so not all of this will apply. I may replace this eventually.

The 5 color mana base is a bit slow but works exceptionally well. Getting color screwed is possible but basically doesn't happen.
Multi Color creatures tend to be more powerful for the CMC, and Morophon is more effective for multi colored creatures. Win/Win.
The sweet spot is 3-4 CMC with two colors. These creatures are still playable with out Morophon out but usually end up free with the various ways of reducing creature casting cost present in the deck

Morophon is pretty important for the blow out turns, so decks that can steel your commander are big trouble. Graveyard hate isn't that bad though.

There is a sub theme of Anthems. This helps keep the smaller creatures relevant and is one of the win conditions via attacking.

GraveCrawler is the MVP of the 99, enabling infinite combos. However, I didn't want this to be a one trick deck so I took out Final Parting and haven't built around GraveCrawler really. Relentless Dead can Sorta fill the same roll but not nearly as well. Having a sac outlet and another zombie like Wayward Servant can end up winning you the game. Any time you have Gravecrawler and Phyrexian Alter on the field, you are about to go off.
I added this combo not knowing it was a known thing. I thought I was pretty clever, only to find out its sorta a staple infinite combo. Its pretty obvious now that it would have been discovered, but I left it in cause I discovered it on my own.

Sidisi, Undead Vizier and Havengul Lich are another nasty combo. With all the cost reduction, you can end up tutoring multiple times in a row for pretty cheep.

The cost reduction replaces some of the ramp that is standard in commander. Its not as safe but its faster over all. All the shock forests are in the deck. I had more forest fetch in the deck originally but it has been cut down. They still belong though. with the latest changes I'm a little worried I may need something to offset the amount of life I will be spending on Shocks and Greed effects.

This deck is pretty powerful... but in some ways its jank-ified. I sorta built it on a theme. The theme is something like "the zombies are coming". As a result, much of the draw is ETB triggers. I always liked that feeling in games and movies where once the hoard is alerted it becomes a frantic dash to stay alive. I tried to build something that has this feel in a deck. Also zombies are dumb. Its the numbers that are the problem. So there are some ways to stop this deck in it's tracks, and it doesn't have much in the form of dealing with others. This deck is much more about doing your best to become a problem then dealing with others threats. That being said, I loaned the deck to a friend who is pretty good at magic and he said it was basically an 8.5 when he played it. He pretty much wins every draft he enters, and could be a competitive MTG player so the deck is more like a 7.

I thought about putting in Words of Wind, and Equilibrium as sorta ETB scare cards off the field. I had Equilibrium in the deck at one point and it performed somewhat but I took it out cause of the additional cost for the trigger. I replaced it with Awaken the Erstwhile. The idea here is Everyone gets zombies but mine will definitely be bigger with all the anthems, and its likely that the ETB effects of the zombies refill my hand. If it doesn't get counters it could mean I win. Also Winds of Abandon is a one sided board wipe. That cards art is sorta my mascot for the deck. I heard they were gonna make a play bat with that on it.... if not I'ma have one printed. That card just screams Morophon Zombie to me.

This deck is done... but is a deck ever really done. So far I have tried a number of setups trying to get the right feel. I tried "every turn is zombies turn" with cards like Seedborn Muse, and the blue Layline. I've tried shifting it a little this way and a little that. In the end I've leaned into the anthems and slightly bigger zombies. I need to test the new changes but I think the result will be a little slower and less consistent but more fun in that swingy sorta way.

If you end up using this list as inspiration... leave a message on the deck... tell me how it went!
Cheers
