I want rule 0 conversation to go something like this
This deck has (3-ish?) non creature cards,
No sorceries, No instants.
It is a creature Heavy, etb value engine.
There are some infinite loops but it wasn't designed around that idea.
The deck can win around turn 7
All ramp, removal, and draw is creature based.
---Minimal & Crippled Tutoring (2 when I'm writing this)=======================================================
How it should play.
Lots of ramp and cantrips for the early game. Build a board state and get Yarok out.
Now everything you were doing is doubled allowing you to draw into a win con.
A bunch of clones to get the best etb effects on the field or copy Yarok to multiply triggers
Land ETBs are pretty important.=======================================================
I considered putting in 1 sorcery "scapeshift", but haven't done it because I like the sound of "NO instants or sorceries"
Deck theme:
It took me some time to finally build Yarok after being excited for him when he was spoiled. By the time I got around to it I felt like he had been done so wanted something new. The idea I had was an all creature deck. This was hard to stick to and I ended up adding a few artifacts/enchantments but no instants or sorceries. Originally I came up with the name Untamed Wilderness cause it was all lands and creatures. I didn't like the name so was playing with names in my head and decided I liked Dark Forest. Only then did I realize I had been listening to a book series by Cixin Lu called the Three body problem, where the answer to the Fermi Paradox (why haven't we found life in the universe) is answered by a new (to me) theory called The Dark Forest principal. Previously I had heard of The Great Barrier as a reason for the Fermi Paradox. I highly recommend the series.
Once I had the name dark forest I realized the deck in part had been accidentally themed after the books somewhat already.
I have yet to swap some things around but may lean harder into the theme.I've started naming the cards that have relevance to the theme. Need to review the books because I've forgotten some stuff / names.
