I know the counters are technically cage counters, and the lore is he put Ith in a cage, but come on!!!! The flipping picture is a person looking into a damned pit!

Tree of Perdition + Hateflayer to set an opponent's life to 4 and then deal 4 dmg to them. Toss in Quicksilver Elemental to hit the whole table in one turn.

Drana, Kalastria Bloodchief+ Pestilent Souleater + AEtherling//Jodah's Avenger to make Mairsil unblockable and one-shot infect kill an opponent. Add in Hateflayer + Quicksilver Elemental to do it without combat dmg to the whole table. All in one turn.

Basalt Monolith//Gilded Lotus + Pili-Pala//Horseshoe Crab//Morphling + Quicksilver Elemental for infinite mana. Can use the mana to:

Kill every targetable creature with Drana, Kalastria Bloodchief (and likely 1 shot a player or two)

Deal infinite dmg to players with Hateflayer

After a few games, i have noticed some intricacies that will require a few changes to the deck.

Equipment is too temporary due to how often mairsil is bounced. Since they cannot be equpied at instant speed, they are subpar in this deck. So, seemingly solid includes like Illusionist's Bracers and swiftboots are actually pretty bad.

The more card draw spells/effects in this deck, the better. This deck loses lots of card advantage due to mairsil grabbing cards from your hand, and discarding cards to abilities. Repeatable and/or cheap card draw are needed. So effects like Rhystic Study and faithless looting, respectively.

Know how Sensei's Divining Top is one of the best cards in edh? Well it is even better in this deck! Once it's in the pit, it does all the normal top shenanigans, protects mairsil from removal, and sets you up to cast him again to put more cards in the pit! It's so good i am considering putting in Trinket Mage just to tutor up top!

Revisions:

• izzet charm for mystic confluence is an experiment. Confluence's cmc may be a bit high, but its flexibility is as well

-mystic confluence for swan song. The cmc was too high. Izzet charm is also replacing Reforge the soul for the same reason

• demonic collusion for gamble and frantic search for entomb. More tutors, which allows for less redundancy- blighted bat for dralnu, lich lord and hoard-smelter dragon for chaos warp
