the goal of this deck is to make it very difficult for your opponents to play magic as you set yourself up to win.

You do so by using your early turns playing mana rocks and stax pieces to slow down your opponents long enough for you to play Maralen of the Mornsong + Stranglehold. this is the main combo of this deck because it prevents your opponents from drawing cards, searching their libraries, and taking extra turns, and they take 3 damage every turn. While at the same time allowing you to tutor each turn for your combo pieces to win the game.
combos to tutor for with Maralen
1.Havoc festival + Wound Reflection gives your opponents one turn to destroy either enchantment or they will lose the game.

  1. Isochron Scepter + Dark Ritual/Cabal Ritual + mana rocks that collectively produce 2-3 mana + Paradox Engine = Infinite colored and colorless mana
  2. Isochron Scepter + Final fortune/Last Chance + sundial of the infinite = Infinite turns
  3. Isochron Scepter + Sign in Blood + mana rocks that collectively produce 2-3 mana + Paradox Engine = making your opponents draw there whole deck but more importantly making them take infinite damage.
  4. Isochron Scepter + Demonic tutor + mana rocks that collectively produce 2-3 mana + Paradox Engine = infinitely tutor your deck
  5. Isochron Scepter + Lightning bolt + mana rocks that collectively produce 2-3 mana + Paradox Engine = infinite damage
  6. Isochron Scepter + Dark Ritual/Cabal Ritual + mana rocks that collectively produce 2-3 mana + Paradox Engine +
Sensei's Divining Top = Draw your whole deck + infinite mana to play all the spells you draw.

Playing Rakdos you are put at a disadvantage because you are limited to the amount of ways you can interact with counterspells or other ways your opponents may disrupt your combo pieces. this is where Kozilek, Butcher of Truth and Ulamog, the Infinite Gyre come in handy because when they are put in the graveyard from anywhere you shuffle your graveyard into your library. this is helpful because it gives you access to cards you have already played throughout the game that might have been countered or destroyed. And if all else fails Kozilek and Ulamog are pretty scary to play against both being able to swing for a lot of damage and they both have great effects when you cast them and annihilator 4 which will start to eat away at your opponents resources.
This deck is a work in progress and is always looking for suggestion on how to improve!
