What's the reason for having Trait Doctoring? I dont see any.

The reason for Trait Doctoring is to go into Master of Waves change its devo to the most abundant color on the field an you have a ton of tokens.

The thing is, when you are able to target master of waves with trait doctoring, it's already too late to change the text, because the triggered ability is already on the stack. Moreover, trait doctoring is not even instant, so by the moment you can target master of waves, elementals are already created by its ability.
Summary: that does not work.
