gotta love landfall decks :)
I have 3 of them in my profile... lol, one of them quite looks like yours.

this one is modern legal: https://deck.tk/3NIw3RlF and I've brewed it just now waiting for Battle for Zendikar and the new tools the deck is certainly going to have.
I took this deck to 3 FNMs and I got 3 top4 placements with it, it's a quite powerful and reliable deck :)

anyway, your deck has some pretty nice ideas on it, mainly Ghor-Clan Rampager... it's very likely I'll steal this idea to my list, not sure in place of what, but I'm trying it.

Anyway, about your list, I'd guess you need some way to reliably drop more lands...
with only 22 lands and no way to actually recurr any, oftentimes you'll lose your land drops, I use Sakura-Tribe Scout, Life from the Loam and Scryb Ranger to do that.
and I hit land drops almost every turn of every game.
my landfall triggers are VERY reliable.
I think this is very important in a deck like this.
When you hit land drops, your Steppe Lynx and Plated Geopede go from mediocre creatures to awesome beaters.

Think about it :)
hope it helps.

see ya.

Thanks for your helpful comment... first time someone comments on one of my decks ever, and I have made a LOT over the years  :D
(Check out my Archangel of Thune deck, it works really well and is really fun /shameless plug)

So, to address your suggestion of having recurring mechanics to drop lands, I see now how this could be a problem. I have not yet been able to test the deck, maybe this week-end. The original idea was to smash face so fast that they would be dead by turn 4 or 5, and so you would not need recurring stuff. However if your miss your third or fourth land, your are stuck with a 0/1 Steppe Lynx and a 1/1 Plated Geopede, and the deck falls apart.

So, I added one land and two Life from the Loam, great suggestion thanks.

For the Scryb Ranger, I'll try a one of. It just doesn't seem to do that much, I feel like if you draw two of these they will slow down the deck to a halt.

The Sakura-Tribe Scout I am not a fan of. I understand that in your deck it combos with Life from the Loam and maybe Selesnya Sanctuary (which I also borrowed from you), but I would like a more direct approach. I feel Atarka's Command does the same thing, as I hope to only need this effect once in a game, and it's more versatile, specifically, it hits the face.

Also, I like the Path to Exile, which is just premium removal, and can occasionally count as your ultimate landfall trigger to seal the game (I don't know how realistic that is though :) )

Thanks again for your thoughts, I've updated the deck!

Glad you liked the comment.

well, let me explain further.

Scryb Ranger + Sakura-tribe Scout are a combo that generates free landfall.
Or, if Sakura-tribe scout is untapped, it can transform your Plated Geopede in an amazing blocker... even if you used it to attack in the past turn.
Scryb Ranger also untaps Knight of the Reliquary, which is HUGE.
Sakura-Tribe Scout also provides a way to drop knight by turn 2.

Having Multiples of the Ranger is not bad if you have a Scout, they'll generate LOTS of landfall triggers for free.
and will generate mana as it "untaps" your lands.

My original list is Legacy Legal an uses Exploration instead of Sakura-Tribe Scout and Quirion Ranger in place of Scryb Ranger, unfortunately, those cards are not modern legal, so I had to adapt :P.

Scryb Ranger is stupid powerful with Sakura-Tribe Scout and Knight of the Reliquary

No cards in hand, Reliquary + Ranger in battlefield
sac land, tutor fetch, crack fetch, drop forest (add mana), return forest (untap knight), play forest.
right now, you just gave +2/+2 to your knight, left it untapped and generated 3 land drops and an extra mana you didn't have.
from here, you can tap the knight again and generate 2 more landfall triggers or simply smack face.

well, it's REALLY powerful :)

most people tend to react the way you did when I tell them about Sakura-Tribe Scout, and I just say what I'm going to say to you... Give it a try, it's awesome.

obviously, if you get a hand with multiple Rangers / Scouts an no landfall dude, you should mulligan...
but every deck has bad hands :)

All those interactions do seem powerful, but really it's Knight of the Reliquary that is the strong card...
Unfortunately I play in a removal heavy environment and I can't expect it to survive.

Buuuut... I'm going to trust you and go with 3 Scryb Ranger, 2 Sakura-tribe Scout and two Atarka's Command to complement them.

I'll test it out this week-end and if it works well, I'll add more.

Everyone plays in removal heavy environments :P
a sejiri steppe played with Sakura-Tribe Scout (or Atarka's Command) for that matter, can save a dude from spot removal :P
you also have that Vines of vastwood and even Ghor-Clan Rampager  (that protects against red and some black removal) if you have the spare mana.

that interation alone has made me consider Crop Rotation for my legacy landfall deck.
Knight of the Reliquary does that a lot if he manages to survive a turn.
at the end of the day, I use Sylvan Safekeeper in the legacy version.
Maybe, if removal is that big of an issue, you could use Spellskite

of the cards I use to recurr lands, the only one that doesn't do that well alone is Sakura-Tribe scout... it REALLY needs to come out in the first turn, or with scryb ranger or with Life from the loam
when it does, it's awesome, but it is, indeed, a pretty bad topdeck. but hell, even Steppe Lynx is a bad topdeck, lol.

either way, I'm curious about the results of your tests.
I guess you did pretty much exactly what I'd do to include the cards you did in your build... took away Loam Lion a Rancor and something else I'm not recognizing right now.

I'm really inclined to trying a couple Ghor-Clan Rampager and Atarka's Command in my builds, both cards seem really appropriate.
