mono colored commander decks can be tricky because you lose the coordination of other colors but is a doable deck. I feel that based off the creature and card effects that you should concentrate on making this deck tribal, maybe the sphinx since you can have the card drawing theme and combat effects going at the same time. Have plenty of canceling effects and effects that make it difficult for your opponent to predict and stop your moves.
