Your mana source needs to have at least some island and swamp for it to work. if you dont do that you wont be able to put out some of your borderposts and your planeswalker, kiora

but even if your borderposts come down i feel that you will need some more mana to work with

All of the borderpost's have "You may pay {1} and return a basic land you control to its owner's hand rather than pay Firewild Borderpost's mana cost." replacing firewild with the one for that specific card so in theory he/she actually doesn't need any swamp or island cards. Well that's the theory anyhow
