Can I sacrifice the Composite Golem the round it enters play for the five mana? or does summoning sickness prevent this until the next round?

Summoning sickness prevent you to tap your creatures. To activate the sacrifice ability you are not required to tap the golem, so i think you can do it without any problem!

fumagalli knows, he doesn't just think!  Since there is no tap symbol in the cost of the ability (before the : ) then summoning sickness does not apply.  Note that you could even activate Bramblesnap's ability and tap a creature with summoning sickness (even the bramblesnap,) because there's still no tap symbol in the cost.
