Yes, it is slow. My thinking was that it can act as both a source of recurring mana (along with mox opal and springleaf drum), OR another 0-mana artifact to get a mox opal online. Admittedly it's mediocre at both jobs, though. Got any suggestions to replace it? I looked at chancellor of the tangle, but was not impressed.

I'm now thinking chromatic star/sphere: they're cheap artifacts for the mox opal, as well as "free" cantrips.
