The first card that I really liked the look of was Sheoldred, Whispering One because she was in the first MTGO deck I ever built. I got the card for free as a promotion and had to buy a paper copy just to have it with me. I take it to all my tournaments as a sort of good luck reminder. It's sweet how we get attached to the cards that made impressions on us as we learned the game.  :)

   @Skeri, I completely agree with you on that. Even with choosing my avatar, when I thought about Sorin Markov the actual card (which I had found at my game shop) I was saving up for it cause it's effects were insanely good. He was one of the few Mono-Black walkers who wasn't completely evil. And then later he goes and turns W/B which is even cooler. Even planeswalkers have changes in personality, some for the better.
