I don't think Orim's Chant could effectively help you against aggro because, given your mana base, you're not likely to have double white so often.
Moreover, you're not so fast as ANT or others combos that could use Orim's Chant to protect their big turn.
Also, Orim's Chant needs to be cast the turn you go off, meaning you need 1 more mana i.e. one more turn.
It actually slows you instead of buying you time.
Defense Grid, on the other hand, can be cast on curve the turn before and even sacrificed to Kuldotha Forgemaster.
If you fear aggro, I suggest sideboard cards like Ghostly Prison, Tangle Wire, Ensnaring Bridge etc.
One personal favourite of mine is Silent Arbiter.

Silent Arbiter is an excellent suggestion. I can protect him with Lightning Greaves and tutor for him with Enlightened tutor. If no need for him he can still fuel Metalworker.

Icy Manipulator was added to control single big threats and to neutralize lands like Maze of Ith. Voltaic Keys give me multiple Manipulators if necessary. Can be tutored for and fuel Metalworker.

I upped the count of white land sources to 14 as I prefer to keep the 4 Orim's Chant.

City of Traitors also upped to 4 copies ( replacing Lotus Petal )

This way I keep all the aggressive parts in play but the defensive options have been improved.
