Using ramp and Dragon Tempest to pump out tons of damage quickly whiles't keeping my opponent's board in check with either Balefire Dragon or Steel Hellkite.

Balefire Dragon and Steel hellkite are both pretty expensive.. how do you keep your opponent in check when they're running aggro

From playtesting I noticed that deck is surprisingly fast I usually see a dragon drop by turn 3 (typicially Thunderbreak Regent thanks to Dragonlord's servant ) although due to Elvish Piper I've also droped Balefire Dragon and oher beaters out by turn 4. I haven't tested Steel Hellkite yet as he's a new edition.

Should add two cavern of souls so control decks aren't a blow out.

I'm considering it but Cavern is bloody expensive:p

Well that depends on the deck I'm facing and I also have dragonlord servant to fall back on for cost reduction and as a 1/3 mini wall. It's a problem though but no deck is perfect.

Why don't you use 4 Somberwald Sage instead ?
Would allow you to cut 4 Dragonlord's Servant and 2 Elvish Piper

You can drop a 6/7 CMC dragon on T3 regularly that way.
T1 Bird - T2 Sage - T3 Dragon.

Hmmm I haven't seen Somberwald Sage before but it looks intereating. I'll definately consider it thanks!

Your deck wants to put dragons in play but it seems very unsure on how it wants to accomplish this.

Dragonlord's Servant and Elvish Piper simply do not fit together, imo.

The Piper allows you to put dragons into play for just 1 mana, so why do you need to lower their casting cost ?
Other way around : if you put effort into lowering their casting cost, why use a card ( Piper ) which simply ignores their casting cost ?
Why use Dragonlord's Servant if you can use Somberwald sage ?
Every Sage is worth three Servants, so the Sage speeds you up tremendously, why not use 4 ?

Right now you're using 8 card slots on cards which all pull in a different direction.

I'd suggest to use 4 Sages and add a couple of Green Sun's Zenith to tutor for them.

I can see your point. Most of the cards mentioned are different forms of ramp. Here's what I was going for:

Dragonlord servant serves serves both as ramp and as an earlygame wall.

Elvish Piper and Somberwald sage are both there to serve as acellerants. Sage is good but has limitations with dual color. Piper has the advantage of only using one mana to drop opening the posability to do something else the same turn. I need to testplay the deck again to see what works. I will more than likely change the quantities of each later down the line.

For Zenith: even though I only play casual I like to keep my decks modern legal for the sake balance. Know any good modern alts?

I would replace Elvish Piper, it doesn't really fit and is too subject to removal to be worth it

It's better for him to be removed than one of my dragons and for the times it isn't removed it can generate some serious advantage.

I'm not saying it can't. But that's on the rare occasion that it isn't destroyed. You want to be consistently fast, not inconsistently faster
