Why Cobbled Wings ? Just for Hostage Taker ? Seems weird when all the other creatures already have flying.

Yes, because it will give Hostage Taker Flying, and with her amazing ability, she becomes more difficult to kill, and that is just assuming you haven't already played the exiled creature your Hostage Taker gifted you.
