Went to FNM at LGS with the original deck and only won 2 of my 10 games.  A key to success is not brick on my early game and mana, but other than that Gideon of the Trails wrecked me every time. 

I went to a store championship and wont 1 match out of 4.  I got wrecked by Hostage Taker , and came to a realization that this deck would benifit vs aggro and scarab god. 

Removed the warkites because they would be dead cards when i need to play a creature, but didnt have the island.

Went to 16 man standard competition with the deck as it is, and won 6 of 7 matches and hit 2nd place.  It was 4 rounds of swiss, then top 8 single elimination.  I lost only because i mulled too far first game (if i had a choice? went to 4, no lands at all), and game 3 had perfect curve, 1 mount 1dragonskull 1,1,2,3, chart a course.
i kept, but got BTFO by turn 5 lilly into scarab god, and mostly because i never drew a 3rd land till my turn 7.  so that game was just destined for me to lose.

Lost Legacy may do work.  I am thinking about sideboard cause its a better card than march of the drowned.

Pirates with a purpose

went to FNM with this. went 2-3

lost 1 to flooding vs mono red and another close game ending with opp on 2hp
lost 1 to tempo' lilly into Demon of Dark Schemes wiping me stabalizing and running the next turn with 7 mana open and 10 energy. second game was unanswered scarab god with dead hand and mana draw
lost 1 game to having my cards answered vs tempo gw cats (shameful loss)  game 2 lost to -0 gideon who was a 13/13 flyin after i stabalize.  He ran a single tech Unconventional Tactics and topdecks it vs a 7 creature board swinging for lethal. also had to sac his 2 Hashep Oasis i believe to achieve this.

i think i will have to do some switching up to be more resilient vs lilly scarab god. I end up having no come back mechanism vs midrange and aggro, so the matchups are a bias coin toss for me.  could be im bad player too haha

I decided to add Siren's Ruse to give my board some type of sustainability, and it create combo opportunities for Hostage Taker and Forerunner of the Coalition.  Ill post results

I made something similar earlier including Siren's Ruse.  It also works well with Ravenous Chupacabra and Kitesail Freebooter.

Pirates with a purpose

went to FNM went 3-1.

Lost to getting flooded by Murfolk both games i lost. one game i lost i milled to 5.

For an added note, matches were
2-1
2-1
1-2
2-1

Games i did lose were games where getting the mana i needed just didnt happen.  Feels Bad.

Daring Buccaneer feels bad.  Im thinking somehting like

Also, i removed the dire fleet neckbreaker and the daring buccaneer for 1 more fanatical firebrand and 3 warkite marauder
