Increased consistency in my mono green deck
« on: February 01, 2018, 08:26:56 pm »
I've done the math and used starting hand in my Druidic Cult of the Green Hydra https://deckstats.net/decks/97257/907212-druidic-cult-of-the-green-hydr/en
I have found that an ideal hand (two-three elves, two-three lands and a big drop) only occurs 60-70% of the time is their a method to increase this to 80%. Any other modifications are appreciated. Thank you in advance.

Modern 100USD budget, thinking of a pauper variant.

Harmonize? Fits in the curve below the 5 drops.

There is also Commune with Nature and Lead the Stampede, which dig deeper but gains you less cards

Also can't say I'm too fond of the Infect hydra. It's big, yeah. But it slowly kills itself by getting chump blocked all day. I think Honored Hydra might be a better fit. It's a little more expensive mana wise, but it has trample and embalm for some nice value.

As for a pauper variant: Mana dorks, Commune with Nature, Vines of Vastwood.
Top end options: Aurochs Herd, Hooting Mandrills, Bitterbow Sharpshooters. Maybe regular Aurochs too?

Yeah I have my eyes on a few mana dorks for pauper and 6 drops in the modern version require the tree speaker turn one or turn two with another elf on turn one so I added a heroes bane and three hydras and pauper I'm looking at 5-6 power five drops with vigilance/reach bitterbow archers is on my watch list. Thank you for your help so far
