Pact of Negaction is one of the best counterspells, and one of the most played in EDH among those who can afford it in decks that it fits

yes i understand that i own a few myself but there are so many ways that it can back fire on you. i just think that you could do better.

Since i started playing Commander I've never seen a Pact of Negation backfire. Take note that I play in a 1v1 environment following the Leviathan banlist, so it's easier to keep it under control and easier to remember to pay the cost
