Mogis, First Commader Deck

Control? I am trying to make my first Commander deck, so any help on how to make this work, or get better please let me know!

Control isnt easy to do in commander, generally you choose a strategy and the strategy itself is more controlling. For example, a sacrifice deck isnt control, but its way more controlling than storm. Mogis is a pretty good choice, and he can be really brutal. Look for lots of permanents with similar effects, EDHREC is a good place to look. Just find Mogis and it gives his top cards overall, and for each type of card.

Thank you! I had the whole deck submitted, but apparently it didn't save if you don't have the set it comes from selected. DO you happen to know a faster way to add cards?

4 cards too many with 104, but I'd imagine that's because you're still debating between a few cards.

Your land count looks ok but you don't have any ramp that I saw. A good rule of thumb is 12-13 mana rocks or ramp effects.

Also, there's better lands than some of those that you have. Blood Crypt is strictly better than Rakdos Guildgate for instance. You really want to try to avoid lands that are guaranteed to come into play tapped.

It would be easier to give more input if the deck was broken down by card purpose (ie ramp, removal, buffs, etc.).

Thank you very much for the input! I played it tonight, got a few new cards that I have to put into this list, but overall it held its own against a sliver deck. I won two and lost one, and as a new player as well, I felt pretty good about it overall, but I will definitely work on adding new lands, because that was one of the weakest parts of this deck by far!!

Don't focus on just the lands but the ramp as well which it looks as though you've been doing.

Just be careful not to cut lands for something else because you've added ramp. Ideally about half your deck should be land and ramp.
