Bit the bullet and bought some more expensive upgrades (Gamble and Blood Moon).
Trying out some new stuff from the latest sets (Tilonalli's Summoner, Arch of Orazca, Rile). Rile is... probably not worth it? But drawing cards is drawing cards, even if you have to lose some tokens.

I'm worried I took out too many pump spells with this change, and won't be able to trigger ferocious for Temur Battle Rage. We'll see.

Preliminary update after 2 years



Revision 6

Added/removed cards:
-1 Aligned Hedron Network
Neat, but probably not what this deck wants to spend its mana doing. The best interaction is comboing off.

-1 Arch of Orazca
Anytime the game got to the point where I was activating this, I basically had already lost. At that point you're just fishing for the Dualcaster Mage combo.

-1 Invigorated Rampage
Cutting all the pump spells since I found winning via combat to be this deck's weakest option.

-1 Rile
Can't believe I ever included this before I put slowtrips back in.

-1 Temple of the False God
This deck's curve basically stops at 5 mana, I don't know why I thought this was a good idea?

-1 Temur Battle Rage
This really need a critical mass of pump spells to be good, and I've removed all of those.

-1 Tilonalli's Summoner
I never found it worth it to activate this, and it's pretty slow and expensive for what it does.


+1 Dwarven Mine
Excited for this, seems very low cost.

+1 Fists of Flame
Super exciting addition, except for having to keep track of how big each token gets.

+1 Krenko, Tin Street Kingpin
Hanweir Garrison 2: Now In Goblin

+1 Legion Warboss
Want to test this out, since Garrison tokens often survive, I'm optimistic about these.

+1 Panic
Probably the best of the slowtrips. (Balduvian Rage requires attacking.)

Indomitable Creativity 2; I am concerned that I have very few creatures in the deck, but worst case it can loop my existing real creatures.

Very excited for this to enable some wild turns.

Going down to 37 lands from 39, since the curve is so low. Not sure if this is the right call; the deck really wants to hit its first four land drops at minimum.

Have not quite figured out all the cuts. Eying Firestorm, Confusion in the Ranks, Ruination, and Magus of the Moon.

Minor updates for new sets and some housekeeping. Excited to draw Fable of the Mirror-Breaker, it seems like everything we want to be doing.

Sandstone Needle is just a trial. It could be good, it might be bad. I really just want Ancient Tomb but that's expensive. Don't look at all the NEO #299 Mountains I just bought.

With Dwarven Mine we do actually care about having Mountains, and Hanweir Battlements is easily the worst nonbasic in the deck. Sorry Hanweir. The meme is cool but it's not worth.

Replacing Impact Tremors with Witty Roastmaster because being a creature is relevant and we can spin into it off of our various polymorph effects (that don't hit enchantments).
