I've played a very small amount with this strategy; while it seems very linear and
simple, it affords choices throughout the game.
The games I had
Fungal Plots out were amazing - the lifegain and card draw are sorely needed in GB, but the enchantment doesn't add to the board state immediately (aside from +1 permanent towards ascend) and doesn't stack. When going up against targeted removal, this is great for instant speed tokens too as you'll have removed creatures in your gy to
exile for value.
Metallic Mimic is ok - it either eats removal or pumps new saps from
saproling migration. On turn 3, it can be a 3/2 attacking (t3 precombat mainphase
sporecrown thallid) or triggers a turn 3 slimefoot when it's finally killed.
This is my first time playing with growing rites of itlomac. Powerful if you have cards in hand or mana sinks (slimefoot,
arch of orazca - why I want to add
torment of hailfire). This deck is not brimming with creatures so the 1st side etb ability is not as good as it could be, but it's been easy to flip. Better late game play so far.
The
Aethersphere harvester saved me a few games by holding off the usual suspects of white and red flying creatures, but with so many mono red decks with
abrade in the sideboard out there right now, I
wonder if the vehicle would be better if brought in from the sideboard and have no artifacts if the maindeck.
Tendershoot Dryad. Its so good. Wanna play one more
blossoming defense to save it more often.
Overall report is a very fun deck that could be customized based on many options.
