I like your idea. Many possibilities to go in clash with your Opponent only with creatures Power and toughness.

Add Death's Shadow in your deck.
Play torpor orb in round 2, death‘s shadow in round 3 in combination with Lightning greaves

@donjondo the way I understand Death's Shadow, it is not an ability that triggers when it arrives to the battlefield (like putting -X/-X counters on it) so I don't think it has its place here. However if you have enough money you can still get Phyrexian Dreadnought (not Modern though).

Awesome stuff Dude!! Came across this deck a couple of weeks ago and loved the concept.

I've gone down the Boros route but needed to fix the mana base to 22 lands. A great card for this deck is Vexing Devil and the double-strike from Boros Charm combined with Eater of Days is hilarious. I'm finding the three red mana needed for Avatar of Discord tricky so run fewer. The three cheat cards also dodge Evoke so cards like Ingot Chewer get you a 4/3 for one red mana. Looking at putting in a Thud or Fling to really make the opponent squirm.
