There is always
primal vigor, although I don't think you want your opponents to be able to capitalize on it. Also, if I read the card correctly and understand it completely, you can use
Marath, Will of the Wild's ability to remove the counters and giver him/her/itself
x +1/+1 counters, which would be increased depending on cards you have in play such as
hardened scales or
doubling season or
primal vigor. Although you obviously couldn't remove then all for
x or she would die.
My point is (I haven't looked at the deck list, or any Marath deck lists, so idk how much counter manipulation you have for when it is on the field, a lot I assume) but you can always use her own ability to pump her counters back up (with one of the previously mentioned enchantments out.) Of course it might just be more efficient to kill her and cast her again with the commander tax. I think she gets two extra counters for commander tax. I feel like that was the entire purpose behind her, but not 100% sure.
Good luck!
Edit: Just looked at the art. It is definitely an IT.
