Come on guys. This is sad. Gideon has died. Heartwarming redemption.
Heliod, came to
Kytheon, to
defeat one of
Erebos's titans. Kytheon accepted, and he and his allies went to go fight for their
Sun God. They were able to
defeat their foe, but Kytheon got cocky and tried to
defeat Erebos too. All of his friends/allies died, causing his spark to ignite. He then spent the rest of his life trying to right that wrong by being who we all know and love. Honest, noble, honorably, (Eddard Stark). He was what we all aspire to be. He sacrifices himself for
the most beautiful plansewalker in MTG. Not because they are besties, but because he knows it has to be done for the good of Ravnica and the rest of the multiverse. It was either die for Liliana, or die from the elder spell. Either way he died. (Much like how Sean Bean died playing both Eddard Stark AND Boromir. So sad.) Some people are destined to die.
I think we can all agree he accomplished his goal. He did right his wrong.
"Kytheon had known war every day of his life. Now he finally new peace."
