I say jam it. If you can also get Mana Drain though and run both I would definitely recommend it because yeah MD > PC all day, every day and even some holidays.

Kinda depends on your purpose for it.

If you're using it as a counterspell it's not that great. Generally you want your counterspells to be two mana or less, because that's often all you will have open at the end of your turn.

If you're using it as mana ramp because you cast big spells, then you should keep it in. You have to leave 4 mana open, but it can be a worthwhile investment if you plan on casting something big. Keep in mind, it's also dependent on one of your opponents casting a big spell.

It's very dependent on your opponent casting something big enough that BBGG is worth paying for the mana the spell is being cast for. Depending on the deck it also may cause you to not make the right play out of the desire to cast Plasm Capture to make a splashy play.

I personally don't like it but it depends on your playstyle and what your meta is.

I think it's a good card, but I agree with a lot of the comments so far.

Mana Drain, albeit not a budget choice, is clearly better. Plasm Capture also costs you twice as much and you need to able to keep that mana up, and then an opponent needs to cast something worthwhile to counter. And then on your turn, you need to be able to use all that mana. Lots of conditions to insure an optimal use of the card.

I'd play Plasm Capture if my play group was more on the casual side and I was playing a Simic goodstuff deck. PC would help me ramp out some huge creature.
