Arcane signet vs felwar stone

I don't understand why it has to be an either/or situation.  Most decks could benefit from both.

My new standard ramp package for 3-color decks:

I think Arcane Signet not only obliterates Fellwar Stone, but almost every other 3-mana rock out there.
I don't like when Wizards print cards so blatantly overbusted, to me power creep is supposed to be a bad thing.
Fellwar Stone is still a thing for Sen Triplets, though.

How come nobody's comparing it to commander's sphere?  I think it's strictly better.  I rarely use the sac/draw, usually only if someone blows up the board.  I'd happily pay 1 less and lose the option.

OP's question is a loaded question in a way. It's not like Arcane Signet is going to be competing against Fellwar Stone. If the amount of ramp in a deck is fixed it's actually going to compete with (and push out) one of the weaker rocks, like the Diamond-cycle or the Myr-cycle.

I mean the problem with the power creep theory is that there is already much stronger ramp. Sure this'll replace Fellwar Stone or 3 cost rocks, but a lot of decks won't run it because all their ramp is already better than Arcane Signet.

I can see it not being played in more competitive circles, but pretty much all the casual players I know are excited about it.
