[Standard] The most OP Aggro Lifegain deck?

The most OP Aggro Lifegain deck?

Just know that you'll be floating between 60 and 80 health, most of the time.

Lifegain has always been my favourite mechanic, but this deck is something else.

Sorin is a complete powerhouse: giving your own pridemates lifelink is huge since now if they're 8/8s and they get chump-blocked by a 1/1, it's going to gain you 8 life. same is true for bloodthirsty aerialist - which also has built in evasion.
Also has graveyard recursion for cards like Angel of Vitality (which I think is the true powerhouse of the deck).

Ajani is also fantastic, as in the early game ii can be a couple pridemates and some lifegain, while in the mid to late game his "0" ability (exiling all of your opponent's creatures and artifacts along with Ajani himself) is going to be really, REALLY easy to accomplish (given that you have to be at 40 life - at least).

I've been having a blast, try the deck out and let me know what you guys think by commenting!!

May I suggest 2 things?

1. I would cut Temple of Silence for Scoured Barrens. I myself play this Deck very often (on Arena) and often had a Pridemate come into play with an instant Scourge Barrens drop following.
2. I would definitly put the hole playset of Sorin in. As you mentioned he is to strong to not have 4 copies of him.

Maybe this helps you with your deck =)

Of course I'm sure I've gone mad. The little man who crawled out of my eye was quite clear on this.

Wow, it is very weird seeing a deck where Scoured Barrens is probably better to play than Temple of Silence. But this would be it. Angel of Vitality, Prridemate, and Aerialist all work so well with it.

I'm not sure I like Banehous as much as the other 2 1 drops. 12 1 drops is probably too much. It would probably do you better to just be 4 Resplendent Angel, which can win a game if unanswered

very cool deck. I am also a major fan of lifegain-based decks (anecdote: one of my all-time fav homebrew standard decks was in khans/BFZ-era with Mastery of the Unseen, Felidar Sovereign, Den Protector, Deathmist Raptor, and load of mana dorks ^_^ ) .

what do you think about the potential of cards like:
Dawn of Hope (absolutely love this card, but not very aggro, as you appear to be doing here)
Ajani's Welcome (same as DoH)
Resplendent Angel (someone mentioned above, but is it a budget reason? i could see, for budget purposes, splitting the difference on Ajani, Strength of the Pride and the angel. they are roughly the same price rn)
Cruel Celebrant (i know this isnt an aristocrats deck, but still gets some cheap damage in from natural death of creatures)
Corpse Knight (i feel like this would be a welcome addition)
Dusk Legion Zealot (card draw is cool)
Oathsworn Vampire (recursion is cool)
Scoured Barrens (already suggested, but i want to give my endorsement for this)

I guess most of my suggestions are more geared towards an aristocrats-style build and possibly could add, but may actually take away from the aggressive core of the deck. I really like what you have done here and I tip my hat to you, sir/ma'am.

I very much underestimated Scoured Barrens, guess I just liked the scry from temple of silence.

Was considering removing banehound for dusk legion zealot and get to draw more, but there are points to be made about the synergies banehound has (even if 12 1-drops are effectively a few too many).

Maybe another Midnight Reaper?

Why not use Ajani's Welcome or even Soul Warden instead of Impassioned Orator?

i don't think you have enough ways to draw but i think this is the only default with the lack of removals

Have you thought about using Bola's Citadel, I realize you are running a low mana cost deck but, it can be crazy good for lifegain decks. Also if your Aerialists or Pridemates are getting removed definitely look into subbing in some Gods Willings they are a lifesaver.

Would be amusing to include epicure of blood, go infinite as soon as you play him with sorin on board pretty much

It seems to me, that the lifegain-strategy isn’t powerful by itself in the existing Standard.

You can build you deck around

Banehound
Vampire of the Dire Moon
Impassioned Orator
Ajani’s pridemate
Bloodthirsty Aerialist
Midnight Reaper

Oath of Kaya
Ajani, Strength of the Pride
Sorin, Vengeful Bloodlord

Despark
Disenchant (because of Fires and Cauldron)

But it doesn’t seems powerful (((
