Since Astrolabe's banned, I'll use Prophetic Prism in its place for Guildmages' blue mana sink ability if needed, plus some other changes to bring the deck a bit more up to speed. More card draw with Viscera Draggers and Prism, Defile will work much better with no Dismal Backwaters now and Tendrils of Corruption.

Pristine Talisman might be of some help with having more mana to play with and offset the sign in blood damage. Plus with 4 Defile, 4 Beth's Verdict and 2 Echoing Decay, having 2 Tendrils of Corruption may be over kill, especially if the opponent doesn't have many creatures
