Year of the Rat"Rats come in one amount: too many."
So, seeing as it's the year of the rat, I've been compared to rats and I made a rat pauper deck, I figured it'd be high time to make my first commander deck a rat deck. You'll want to use
Marrow-Gnawer as your commander, although Ink Eyes is also an option - kinda. Basically, you want to build an army of super rats and make your opponent(s) pay when they discard. There's some extra fun stuff thrown in there for better card draw and bringing stuff back from the graveyard. A bit of added functionality and flavor. It seems a little low on land compared to others, but everything in this deck is pretty low mana-cost wise, so it should be alright. I've also run the starting hand / clicked through adding cards and it was usually fine. After a bit of testing, you'll want to start with 2 mana in hand, it's usually enough to get the ball rolling. From there, another mana usually isn't too far behind and you can play nearly half of the deck. I think it's dialed in on "enough mana to get started" and "I have way too much mana, this is awful". All in all, I think this is probably about as good of a rat deck that I could make with my knowledge of magic cards and not spending a whole whole lot.
The maybeboard is there for ideas and to move some things around , pending that you're strapped for cash or want to change things up a bit. Hopefully it treats us well! Let me know what you think / what are some minor adjustments that might help.
