Someone may suggest. It's a new mechanic, I don't know if Deckstats' improved this function.

In what format? In Pioneer, Modern, Standard, etc. it goes in your sideboard. Right now, there's no button for selecting your companion (like there is for selecting your commander), so I would just add a comment to the card labeled Companion.

In EDH, I would just put it in the section you would put your commander and label it as Companion.

Hope this helps!

If you can't you can just name the deck after the intended Companion. And it's only "intended", right? If I understand correctly, if your deck is compliant, you can actually choose whether or not to use the Companion feature at the start of each game, it's not "hard-coded" into the deck

You can also use the comment feature for the companion. When you look at this deck on the actual deck page, you can see the comments on the overview page

I would just add a comment to the card labeled Companion.

You can also use the comment feature for the companion.

I'm going to be positive and say great minds think alike  ;)

Yes, my understanding was that the companion is officially part of your sideboard. So just putting it into the sideboard and maybe adding a comment to highlight it seems like a good solution to me. If you guys think we need another way to mark it I could look into that but it would be quite a bit of work.

I personally don't think you need to worry about it, Nils.
