Everyone that's been saying that Boros sucks is about to realise how wrong they are when someone puts that Nahiri and Winota in a Boros Doggos deck.

For those that don't understand:

Nahiri's tokens are non-human, so they trigger Winota, and since Winota is a Warrior, Nahiri can search for her. Alpine Houndmaster is also a warrior, which means he can be searched, and when he enters the battlefield, you can search for more non-humans to activate more triggers for Winota. All them with a few copies of Selfless Saviour for Winota's protection and Embercleave for boost and extra advantage of Nahiri's +1, and it's game over. God, I can't wait to make a killer Boros deck.

*drops mic*

P.S. I have more ideas of cards that would overpower this deck, but I'm not giving them all away just yet ;)

That 0 ability is problematic, btw. Here's how:

Quote from: CR
121.6c Some effects perform additional actions on a card after it's drawn. If the draw is replaced, the additional action is not performed on any cards that are drawn as a result of that replacement effect or any subsequent replacement effects.

Now let's assume you have Alhammarret's Archive, Thought Reflection or Teferi's Ageless Insight - legal in Standard - out. You zero tick Jace, would draw a card but that is replaced with drawing two cards. Since the "and reveal it" action will not be performed on the draws you don't actually lose any loyalty. Pretty sure they're going to patch this up somehow because otherwise Jace is going to be one weird draw engine with one of the draw doublers out. If not I'm calling dibs on this.

EDIT: Not taking full credit for figuring this out. A friend of mine on the ##mtg IRC channel on freenode.net told me about this.

Already waiting to add Nahiri, Heir of the Ancients to my Mardu Knights Commander deck.

If you just focus on the equipment side of things. *and my stonehewer giant

I will likely always have 2-4(or more) equipment out in that deck before Nahiri hits the field.

Meaning I could easily use her last ability doing 4-8(or more) damage to a creature with defenders to spare.

Plus Mardu Knights could always use more attach effects and more tokens.

Not exactly spoilers but some teases MaRo gave on the weekly podcast:

Quote
Things you can expect
* A white creature that can make an opponent lose the game simply by attacking no matter how much life they have (not infect)
* A multicolor creature that lets you repeatedly reanimate permanents out of your opponent’s graveyard for no mana cost
* Three creatures with five creature types exactly (not changeling)
* An artifact granting +2+2 to a subset of creatures that first appeared in Alpha
* X being used for a variable it’s never been used for before
* A 6/6 artifact creature that costs 3 and a 7/5 artifact creature that can cost 3
* The return of four mana symbols that have each only been used on two cards before
* Lands that come with a choice you’ve never had before
* Targeted enchantment removal in black
* A red/white creature with a line of rules text that starts with “whenever” and ends with “draw a card.”
* A card with three different activated abilities that all copy something

The next category was sections of rules text appearing on cards in Zendikar Rising.

Rules text snippets
* Three plus
* Different converted mana costs X or less
* Equal to 20 minus
* Cowards can’t block Warriors
* Don’t lose unspent red mana
* Twice the number of equipment
* If it’s the third time

The last category of hints comes in the form of a list new creature types for creature cards (some have appeared on tokens before).

New creature type lines
* Mouse
* Leviathan Crab
* Shapeshifter Rogue
* Demon Cleric
* Wurm Horror
* Hydra Horror
* Cat Horror
* Angel Wizard

"Targeted enchantment removal in black"

Le Poggers!!

I assume it will be along the lines of "Destroy target enchantment you don't control" because of the Demonic Pact-type cards that black is known for. Perhaps "As an additional cost to cast this spell, sacrifice a creature" and maybe the CMC of the enchantment you destroy depends on the creature's CMC, power, etc. Just guessin'.

This is gonna drive me crazy. I keep thinking that it must be something like hybrid b/2 or something. That was only on Reaper King and Beseech the Queen right?

Edit: yep, just checked. Each of those hybrid symbols has been used on Reaper King and one other card. That also means that one color isn't getting shown for this.

Any bets on Omnath being 2/W, 2/U, 2/R, 2/G?

This makes sense.  I figured it was the colorless hybrid mana symbols.  Those are the only ones that have only each appeared on 2 cards.  But I couldn't figure out why one would be missing.
Happy Brewing!

Although it hasn't been confirmed, I remember reading on a leak that said these new cards can be played from hand either as a spell, or a land.

Okay, that's a really cool card. Just the instant is really good, and having the option to play it as a land is definitely nice. Wish it was discard, though. Really wish it was.
