Nice idea, but "Progenitus" can not be target of the abilities from the "Elvish Piper" . See Errata:
“Protection from everything” means the following: Progenitus can’t be blocked, Progenitus can’t be enchanted or equipped, Progenitus can’t be the target of spells or abilities, and all damage that would be dealt to Progenitus is prevented. (2009-02-01)

That doesn't sound right.  Surely it's only the *creature* that has protection from everything, not the *card*?  For example, creatures with protection from blue can still be countered, because when the spell is on the stack it isn't a creature yet.  Likewise for cards in the hand.
