EDH Geist of Saint Traft - Synergy search

Hey guys,

I'm brewing around with a Geist of Saint Traft Tempo/Voltron deck for quite some time now. The last change I made was to add Relic Vial which brings me to the reason why I'm writing this post:
What cards do you know to have cool (and maybe tricky) synergies with Geist?

What I mean and have so far:

Relic Vial
Sacrifices the Tokens that gets saced anyway for cards and drains since Geist is a cleric (which I just realised).

Sovereigns of Lost Alara
Tutors enchantments like Staggering Insight.

Rootborn Defenses
Protects in combat and creates an angel token that remains.

Court Street Denizen
Gets blockers out of the way.

Mace of the Valiant
Gets a counter with each angel token.

Twilight Drover
Generates more tokens over time with the saced angels.

Angelic Ascension
Simple removal or can make an permanent angel token by exiling one of Geists tokens.

Let's hear your ideas on other cards. =)

Steel of the Godhead is already in there. But for that card although I find it to be a good include, there is no real synergy with Geist I would say.


Also I forgot to mention Bishop of Wings. Pure synergy.

Open the Armory (faster than Heliod's Pilgrim and Sovereigns of Lost Alara)
Archangel of Thune (you already play some lifegain, very strong regardless)
Divine Visitation (strong sinergy with Bishop of Wings)
Tallowisp (only if you go wide on auras and spirits)
Spirit en-Dal (nice inclusion if you ever choose to put Tallowisp)

Tallowisp is nice and will get it's place in the 100, thanks. Even without going wide. But I don't see the reference between Tallowisp and Spirit en-Dal.

There aren't many spirits worth playing in EDH, so you're unikely to reach the critical mass for Tallowisp to be effective.
In order to be able to tutor for an aura, once you draw a spirit, you're likely to be keeping it in your hand (to no use) until you get Tallowisp into play.
With Spirit en-Dal, you actually want it to stay in your hand, so that you can activate its forecast ability and make Geist of Saint Traft unblockable, for instance.

Even without many spirits it's an Open the Armory on turn 3 if played before Geist of Saint Traft and triggers everytime I recast it. That is enough I would say. In my opinion the critical mass is exactly 1. More triggers are just nice to have.

I see, so there is no relationship between Spirit en-Dal and Tallowisp. I seemed like it, they way you wrote.

Yeah, there is no direct relationship. It's just that I found they play well together.
