Hello man, i really liked this kind of myr trybal, i just wanted to know about the play style, like there is lots off counterspells, the strategy is simply to control the board until we build a big army enough to win the game? I know that with mirrodin besieged we have alternatives but just wanted to clarify how should i use it at full potential

Heya Lukin,

In his case, the goal is primarily to make as many tokens as you can and then convert them into something bigger and scarier by creating a token copy of something you care about more.

Ex. 20 assorted tokens of Myrs, Golem, and Thopters. Create a token copy of Master of Etherium. Suddenly you have 21 creatures that are 41/41s, have haste, and a very beefed up Brudiclad.

If you have Mycosynth Golem out, a Vedalken Archmage or Jhoira, and a handful of artifacts, you have the potential to play out a good chunk of cards in the deck to build up a quick board state. and get some of the scarier artifacts onto the board.

As you've mentioned, Mirrodin Besieged is an alternative win condition.

TLDR: I told my friends that this deck filled with Myr was a Token Myr Deck, they now make fun of me because I won using Golems.

Thanks for the explanation man.
For budget reasons i had to change some cards for my irl version of this deck, the only major diference is that i dont have mycosynth golem, so i put saheeli the gifted for some utility instead, and a bit of more draw power because at some test games i ran out of gas because didnt had jhoira, vedalken archmage or thopter spy network, so i take out some of the myr that really dont do anything to put things like thirst for knowledge and thoughtcast to keep seeking the good artifacts until i find jhoira and company.

The best play until now is making 20 copys of hovermyr , each one with 5/6 with the effects of lords, was very easy to smash everyone on the board.

Super fun deck strategy, now is my main deck to play with my friends, thanks for making the ultimate Myr Tolken Deck

I'm happy that you enjoy it, I totally get the budget constraints. A lot of my favorite decks are built budget friendly and I find that they can perform as well if not better and for the same level of fun.

I love the touch of swapping in Saheeli and swapping into a bit more draw. Every little bit of customization makes it a bit more your own than it was before. I was considering throwing a Scrap Mastery in for a bit of emergency recursion since artifact hate is so common. If any deck was going to evolve, it'd be a Phyrexian/Myr one.

I hope that you continue enjoying it!
