Hey, nice take with this one, I've been tempted to shift to soldiers many times too! At the end I fell in love with Immard, The Stormcleaver for the soldier tribe, still working on it though. Saskia was my first commander deck, I've changed it so many times I've lost the count, and am still evaluating cards right now if you want to take a look, but I'm very glad you liked it. About your soldiers deck I was wondering, do the gates slow it too much entering the battlefield tapped? Did you already try it?

Thank you for taking a look at my goofy idea. I have not tried it yet as I am still waiting on a few cards for the deck. But I would assume the gates would slow it down some. My group normally plays with modified precons so I have a little bit of wiggle room with the slow lands. Once they start building more powerful decks I might have to reconsider my land base. I will have to take a look at the changes you have made and see about borrowing a few more.

Of course, you're more than welcome. On my part, what I can say is that, not having blue, the crucial factor was stuffing this deck with draw engines like Reky, the Hystory of Kamigawa ecc. Also, Kodama of the West Tree was a great addition both for enabling trample for every creature e for the sheer amount of ramp that thing can pull off. Finally, the more competitive my table got the more I needed to focus the strategy. I do not stuff a deck with more than 3 themes or strategies, in this case legends, humans and counters. I had a whole lot of cool cards that I ended up cutting because did not serve one of those three themes. Broke my heart but it paid off, and all of those +1/+1 counters add up really fast. About that, I'm also really curious whether Aragorn, Hornburg Hero works well or not, if you could let me know I would really appreciate it!
