Pretty sure I started around the time of the Portal sets, so 97/98, but I couldn't say exactly when for sure.

A friend started playing right at the beginning and wanted someone to play with, so he drafted me. Love it, have taken some breaks from it for various reasons, but I always come back to it.

I first played around the release of Theros, but it was around Khans of Tarkir that I actually got into the game. That was 10 years ago.

I started playing during Revised Edition.  I bought a bunch of starter decks and booster packs.  I did not buy any Legends or The Dark.  They were not available near me.  I did not know black-border cards existed until Fallen Empires came out.
