I think you might need more creatures in the deck; with only a couple counters/removal you'll be out of an offensive punch and with a maximum burn potential of 32 you have to get through approximately 62.5% of your deck to burn your opponent off assuming they have no way of gaining life that is.

Flamespeaker Adept might be a consideration along with some the Instant Scry/Burn cards, it may help add that offensive edge and help fetch into the Chimera.

You might consider adding some of the Scry Lands to give your Flamespeaker Adept that much more of a punch, just an idea.
