Title: Urza's Saga
Post by: WWolfe on June 06, 2023, 11:09:54 pm
How many 0 or 1 mana artifacts do you feel you need to run for Urza's Saga (https://cards.deckstats.net/magiccard.php?utf8=1&lng=en&card=Urza%27s+Saga) to be worth it?

Sol Ring (https://cards.deckstats.net/magiccard.php?utf8=1&lng=en&card=Sol+Ring). No follow-up needed.

I like using it to get Skullclamp (https://cards.deckstats.net/magiccard.php?utf8=1&lng=en&card=Skullclamp) and comboing out of nowhere ;D

I honestly think Sol Ring (https://cards.deckstats.net/magiccard.php?utf8=1&lng=en&card=Sol+Ring) is enough, Saga is just that good.

Being a land is good.
Being an enchantment is good.
Making Karnstructs is good.
Putting itself in the bin is good.
Tutoring Sol Ring (https://cards.deckstats.net/magiccard.php?utf8=1&lng=en&card=Sol+Ring) or Skullclamp (https://cards.deckstats.net/magiccard.php?utf8=1&lng=en&card=Skullclamp) or Shadowspear (https://cards.deckstats.net/magiccard.php?utf8=1&lng=en&card=Shadowspear) or Top is good.

It's just a ridiculously good card and offers so much value in such a variety of decks.

The Constructs alone are quite a lot of value. I've won games with them.

On top of what has been mentioned, in the right deck Hangerback Walker or Walking Ballista (https://cards.deckstats.net/magiccard.php?utf8=1&lng=en&card=Walking+Ballista) can be instant win cons.

However, this seems like a more general question of, is Saga an auto-include for decks.  Based on previous answers, probably yes.

Urza's Saga (https://cards.deckstats.net/magiccard.php?utf8=1&lng=en&card=Urza%27s+Saga) cannot find those. Their mana cost isn't exactly {0} or {1}.

Correct

2021-06-18: While resolving the chapter III ability, you can find only a card with actual mana cost (0) or (1), not mana value 0 or 1. For example, you couldn't find a card with mana cost (B) or one with mana cost (X).
