List your favorite combos. This could be a simple (http://cards.deckstats.net/magiccard.php?lng=en&card=Simple) two card combo, or a long five card combo. Whatever ones you like.
Mindlock Orb (http://cards.deckstats.net/magiccard.php?lng=en&card=Mindlock+Orb) and Path to Exile (http://cards.deckstats.net/magiccard.php?lng=en&card=Path+to+Exile).
Nettling Imp (http://cards.deckstats.net/magiccard.php?lng=en&card=Nettling+Imp) and Royal Assassin (http://cards.deckstats.net/magiccard.php?lng=en&card=Royal+Assassin).
Channel (http://cards.deckstats.net/magiccard.php?lng=en&card=Channel) and Fireball (http://cards.deckstats.net/magiccard.php?lng=en&card=Fireball).
Athreos, God of Passage (http://cards.deckstats.net/magiccard.php?lng=en&card=Athreos%2C+God+of+Passage) and Xathrid Necromancer (http://cards.deckstats.net/magiccard.php?lng=en&card=Xathrid+Necromancer).
Exquisite Blood (http://cards.deckstats.net/magiccard.php?lng=en&card=Exquisite+Blood) and Sanguine Bond (http://cards.deckstats.net/magiccard.php?lng=en&card=Sanguine+Bond).
These are just my favorite interactions.
-
Worship (http://cards.deckstats.net/magiccard.php?lng=en&card=Worship) with Near-Death Experience (http://cards.deckstats.net/magiccard.php?lng=en&card=Near-Death+Experience)
Pious Kitsune (http://cards.deckstats.net/magiccard.php?lng=en&card=Pious+Kitsune) (more than one is usually better), Eight-and-a-Half Tails (http://cards.deckstats.net/magiccard.php?lng=en&card=Eight-and-a-Half-Tails), Rhox Faithmender (http://cards.deckstats.net/magiccard.php?lng=en&card=Rhox+Faithmender)
-
Pollenbright Wings (http://cards.deckstats.net/magiccard.php?lng=en&card=Pollenbright+Wings) and Scion of the Wild (http://cards.deckstats.net/magiccard.php?lng=en&card=Scion+of+the+Wild)
Freed from the Real (http://cards.deckstats.net/magiccard.php?lng=en&card=Freed+from+the+Real) and Tidewater Minion (http://cards.deckstats.net/magiccard.php?lng=en&card=Tidewater+Minion)
Hidden Strings (http://cards.deckstats.net/magiccard.php?lng=en&card=Hidden+Strings) and Favored Hoplite (http://cards.deckstats.net/magiccard.php?lng=en&card=Favored+Hoplite)

Niv Magus Elemental + any of the 0 cost pact cards
Mogg Warmashall + Quest for the Gravelord (http://cards.deckstats.net/magiccard.php?lng=en&card=Quest+for+the+Gravelord) + Bloodthrone Vampire (http://cards.deckstats.net/magiccard.php?lng=en&card=Bloodthrone+Vampire)
-
In addition to some already mentioned:
Splinter (http://cards.deckstats.net/magiccard.php?lng=en&card=Splinter) + Myr Landshaper (http://cards.deckstats.net/magiccard.php?lng=en&card=Myr+Landshaper)
Iroas, God of Victory (http://cards.deckstats.net/magiccard.php?lng=en&card=Iroas%2C+God+of+Victory) + Battlefront Krushok (http://cards.deckstats.net/magiccard.php?lng=en&card=Battlefront+Krushok)
-
Some of my favorites would be
Suture Priest (http://cards.deckstats.net/magiccard.php?lng=en&card=Suture+Priest) + Bitterblossom (http://cards.deckstats.net/magiccard.php?lng=en&card=Bitterblossom)/Bloodline Keeper (http://cards.deckstats.net/magiccard.php?lng=en&card=Bloodline+Keeper)
Exquisite Blood (http://cards.deckstats.net/magiccard.php?lng=en&card=Exquisite+Blood) + Sanguine Bond (http://cards.deckstats.net/magiccard.php?lng=en&card=Sanguine+Bond) (I know someone already mentioned this but it is also one of my favorites as well)
No Mercy (http://cards.deckstats.net/magiccard.php?lng=en&card=No+Mercy) + Norn's Annex (http://cards.deckstats.net/magiccard.php?lng=en&card=Norn%27s+Annex)
Invisible Stalker (http://cards.deckstats.net/magiccard.php?lng=en&card=Invisible+Stalker)/Fencing Ace (http://cards.deckstats.net/magiccard.php?lng=en&card=Fencing+Ace) + any cards with exalted
I also have a friend who likes to cast
Boros Charm (http://cards.deckstats.net/magiccard.php?lng=en&card=Boros+Charm) + Boros Reckoner (http://cards.deckstats.net/magiccard.php?lng=en&card=Boros+Reckoner) + Blastphemos Act + Assemble the Legion (http://cards.deckstats.net/magiccard.php?lng=en&card=Assemble+the+Legion)
Whenever I see boros reckoner (http://cards.deckstats.net/magiccard.php?lng=en&card=Boros+Reckoner) on the field, I know I either take a lot of damage soon or I will have to kill boros reckoner (http://cards.deckstats.net/magiccard.php?lng=en&card=Boros+Reckoner) quickly.

Killing Wave (http://cards.deckstats.net/magiccard.php?lng=en&card=Killing+Wave)+Grave Pact (http://cards.deckstats.net/magiccard.php?lng=en&card=Grave+Pact)+ Blood Artist (http://cards.deckstats.net/magiccard.php?lng=en&card=Blood+Artist)+Token Generator+Parallel Lives (http://cards.deckstats.net/magiccard.php?lng=en&card=Parallel+Lives)
I have thought of an interesting combo. It will require some time and work to get out. First you will need a token generator like bitter blossom on the board with preferably parallel lives (http://cards.deckstats.net/magiccard.php?lng=en&card=Parallel+Lives) to double the tokens produced. Then after a few turns bring out grave pact (http://cards.deckstats.net/magiccard.php?lng=en&card=Grave+Pact) and blood artist (http://cards.deckstats.net/magiccard.php?lng=en&card=Blood+Artist). When both those cards are in play, play killing wave (http://cards.deckstats.net/magiccard.php?lng=en&card=Killing+Wave) with only one mana with the X=0. Keep blood artist (http://cards.deckstats.net/magiccard.php?lng=en&card=Blood+Artist) alive (http://cards.deckstats.net/magiccard.php?lng=en&card=Alive) but kill all of your tokens. With Grave pact (http://cards.deckstats.net/magiccard.php?lng=en&card=Grave+Pact), this will force your opponent to sacrifice creatures since your tokens have been destroyed. By the end blood artist (http://cards.deckstats.net/magiccard.php?lng=en&card=Blood+Artist) should gain you a lot of life while draining your opponent.

Paradise Mantle (http://cards.deckstats.net/magiccard.php?lng=en&card=Paradise+Mantle) + Grimoire Thief (http://cards.deckstats.net/magiccard.php?lng=en&card=Grimoire+Thief) + Freed From the Real (http://cards.deckstats.net/magiccard.php?lng=en&card=Freed+from+the+Real)

Laboratory Maniac (http://cards.deckstats.net/magiccard.php?lng=en&card=Laboratory+Maniac) + (Fathom Mage (http://cards.deckstats.net/magiccard.php?lng=en&card=Fathom+Mage) or Elemental Bond (http://cards.deckstats.net/magiccard.php?lng=en&card=Elemental+Bond)) + Leveler (http://cards.deckstats.net/magiccard.php?lng=en&card=Leveler).
-
I toyed with Channel (http://cards.deckstats.net/magiccard.php?lng=en&card=Channel) and Soul Conduit (http://cards.deckstats.net/magiccard.php?lng=en&card=Soul+Conduit) for a while
But I really love blocking with Typhoid Rats (http://cards.deckstats.net/magiccard.php?lng=en&card=Typhoid+Rats) + Valor Made Real (http://cards.deckstats.net/magiccard.php?lng=en&card=Valor+Made+Real) 8)
I recently built a deck with Wall of Blood (http://cards.deckstats.net/magiccard.php?lng=en&card=Wall+of+Blood) and Essence Harvest (http://cards.deckstats.net/magiccard.php?lng=en&card=Essence+Harvest) in it, as well as Waning Wurm (http://cards.deckstats.net/magiccard.php?lng=en&card=Waning+Wurm) with Dying Wish (http://cards.deckstats.net/magiccard.php?lng=en&card=Dying+Wish), Artful Dodge (http://cards.deckstats.net/magiccard.php?lng=en&card=Artful+Dodge) and Apprentice Necromancer (http://cards.deckstats.net/magiccard.php?lng=en&card=Apprentice+Necromancer).
And just the other day I found Stuffy Doll (http://cards.deckstats.net/magiccard.php?lng=en&card=Stuffy+Doll) + Pariah's Shield (http://cards.deckstats.net/magiccard.php?lng=en&card=Pariah%27s+Shield) + Flesh Reaver (http://cards.deckstats.net/magiccard.php?lng=en&card=Flesh+Reaver) to make an infinite damage output loop.
Edit: Oh and of course the combo everyone has done at least once: Blighted Agent (http://cards.deckstats.net/magiccard.php?lng=en&card=Blighted+Agent) + Giant Growth (http://cards.deckstats.net/magiccard.php?lng=en&card=Giant+Growth) + Titanic Growth (http://cards.deckstats.net/magiccard.php?lng=en&card=Titanic+Growth) + Mutagenic Growth (http://cards.deckstats.net/magiccard.php?lng=en&card=Mutagenic+Growth)
-
Midnight Guard (http://cards.deckstats.net/magiccard.php?lng=en&card=Midnight+Guard) + Presence of Gond (http://cards.deckstats.net/magiccard.php?lng=en&card=Presence+of+Gond) = Infinte Tokens
with Blasting Station (http://cards.deckstats.net/magiccard.php?lng=en&card=Blasting+Station) = Infinite Damage
and with Essence ward / Soul Warden (http://cards.deckstats.net/magiccard.php?lng=en&card=Soul+Warden) = Infinite Lifepoints
and Altar of the Brood (http://cards.deckstats.net/magiccard.php?lng=en&card=Altar+of+the+Brood).
All win condition, All very Nice combo!!! :P :P
-
Midnight Guard (http://cards.deckstats.net/magiccard.php?lng=en&card=Midnight+Guard) + Presence of Gond (http://cards.deckstats.net/magiccard.php?lng=en&card=Presence+of+Gond) = infinite tokens ;D
Midnight Guard (http://cards.deckstats.net/magiccard.php?lng=en&card=Midnight+Guard) + Retraction Helix (http://cards.deckstats.net/magiccard.php?lng=en&card=Retraction+Helix) + Ornithopther + Altar of the Brood (http://cards.deckstats.net/magiccard.php?lng=en&card=Altar+of+the+Brood) = Mill.
Though in important distinction; infinite anything is something to be avoided. If you leave yourself with out a choice or an end condition, it is a draw.
-
Eye of the Storm (http://cards.deckstats.net/magiccard.php?lng=en&card=Eye+of+the+Storm) + Null Profusion (http://cards.deckstats.net/magiccard.php?lng=en&card=Null+Profusion) + Turnabout (http://cards.deckstats.net/magiccard.php?lng=en&card=Turnabout). As long as you have cards in hand this is infinite draw + infinite mana + infinite storm if you add grapeshot (http://cards.deckstats.net/magiccard.php?lng=en&card=Grapeshot), Brain Freeze (http://cards.deckstats.net/magiccard.php?lng=en&card=Brain+Freeze) or ignite memories (http://cards.deckstats.net/magiccard.php?lng=en&card=Ignite+Memories) it's almost always an insta win.
Since it's the modern deck I play I love any Splinter Twin (http://cards.deckstats.net/magiccard.php?lng=en&card=Splinter+Twin) combo out there.
I also love the four horsemen Legacy combo.

melira, sylvok outcast (http://cards.deckstats.net/magiccard.php?lng=en&card=Melira%2C+Sylvok+Outcast) + heartless summoning (http://cards.deckstats.net/magiccard.php?lng=en&card=Heartless+Summoning) + glimpse of nature (http://cards.deckstats.net/magiccard.php?lng=en&card=Glimpse+of+Nature) and lot of artifact creatures :)

melira, sylvok outcast (http://cards.deckstats.net/magiccard.php?lng=en&card=Melira%2C+Sylvok+Outcast) + heartless summoning (http://cards.deckstats.net/magiccard.php?lng=en&card=Heartless+Summoning) + glimpse of nature (http://cards.deckstats.net/magiccard.php?lng=en&card=Glimpse+of+Nature) and lot of artifact creatures :)
I think heartless summoning (http://cards.deckstats.net/magiccard.php?lng=en&card=Heartless+Summoning) just gives a negative stat, not an actual minus counter, which means that Melira doesn't negate (http://cards.deckstats.net/magiccard.php?lng=en&card=Negate) the affect.
Melira, Sylvok Outcast (http://cards.deckstats.net/magiccard.php?lng=en&card=Melira%2C+Sylvok+Outcast) + Phyrexian Unlife (http://cards.deckstats.net/magiccard.php?lng=en&card=Phyrexian+Unlife) is neat though
Oh and I think I remember reading that Melira, Sylvok Outcast (http://cards.deckstats.net/magiccard.php?lng=en&card=Melira%2C+Sylvok+Outcast) + Etched Monstrosity (http://cards.deckstats.net/magiccard.php?lng=en&card=Etched+Monstrosity) works because Melira refers literally to the act of placing the counters, which can't be done. So Etched Monstrosity (http://cards.deckstats.net/magiccard.php?lng=en&card=Etched+Monstrosity) just stays a 10/10.

All those Artifact creatures better enter play with a toughness of 2 for a converted mana cost of 2.

Correct on all accounts.

Rhox Faithmender (http://cards.deckstats.net/magiccard.php?lng=en&card=Rhox+Faithmender) + Celestial mantle (http://cards.deckstats.net/magiccard.php?lng=en&card=Celestial+Mantle). Fun fact, I once had a rhox faithmender (http://cards.deckstats.net/magiccard.php?lng=en&card=Rhox+Faithmender) and a Serra ascendant (http://cards.deckstats.net/magiccard.php?lng=en&card=Serra+Ascendant) out, both enchanted with celestial. I gained 2,552 life in a single swing.
Knowledge pool (http://cards.deckstats.net/magiccard.php?lng=en&card=Knowledge+Pool) + curse of exhaustion (http://cards.deckstats.net/magiccard.php?lng=en&card=Curse+of+Exhaustion)
Cathartic Adept (http://cards.deckstats.net/magiccard.php?lng=en&card=Cathartic+Adept) + illusionist's bracers (http://cards.deckstats.net/magiccard.php?lng=en&card=Illusionist%27s+Bracers) + tidewater minion (http://cards.deckstats.net/magiccard.php?lng=en&card=Tidewater+Minion) - infinite mill
Xenograft (http://cards.deckstats.net/magiccard.php?lng=en&card=Xenograft) + turntimber Ranger (http://cards.deckstats.net/magiccard.php?lng=en&card=Turntimber+Ranger) - infinite tokens
confusion in the ranks (http://cards.deckstats.net/magiccard.php?lng=en&card=Confusion+in+the+Ranks) + conjured currency (http://cards.deckstats.net/magiccard.php?lng=en&card=Conjured+Currency) - nobody keeps anything. LOVE these two cards together
Polymorph (http://cards.deckstats.net/magiccard.php?lng=en&card=Polymorph) + eldrazi tokens + any big nasty eldrazi (Ulamog, Emrakul)
Panoptic Mirror (http://cards.deckstats.net/magiccard.php?lng=en&card=Panoptic+Mirror) + Exhaustion (http://cards.deckstats.net/magiccard.php?lng=en&card=Exhaustion) - perma-tap (although it's a bit wonky to get out)

Rhox Faithmender (http://cards.deckstats.net/magiccard.php?lng=en&card=Rhox+Faithmender) + Celestial mantle (http://cards.deckstats.net/magiccard.php?lng=en&card=Celestial+Mantle).
I'm not sure these combo, I think that Celestial Mantle (http://cards.deckstats.net/magiccard.php?lng=en&card=Celestial+Mantle) simply changes your life total, not "gains life". For instance if you used Soul Conduit (http://cards.deckstats.net/magiccard.php?lng=en&card=Soul+Conduit) with Rhox Faithmender (http://cards.deckstats.net/magiccard.php?lng=en&card=Rhox+Faithmender) out, and increased your life total by strictly changing it out for a different one, he wouldnt cause you to gain double the difference. I think it works the same with the mantle. It just changes your life total, not gains you life per say.
Rhox Faithmender (http://cards.deckstats.net/magiccard.php?lng=en&card=Rhox+Faithmender) + Tainted Sigil (http://cards.deckstats.net/magiccard.php?lng=en&card=Tainted+Sigil) or Rest for the Weary (http://cards.deckstats.net/magiccard.php?lng=en&card=Rest+for+the+Weary) has potential to gain lots of life quickly though, for cheap.

Zada, Hedron Grinder (http://cards.deckstats.net/magiccard.php?lng=en&card=Zada%2C+Hedron+Grinder) + Arcbond (http://cards.deckstats.net/magiccard.php?lng=en&card=Arcbond) + lifelink (http://cards.deckstats.net/magiccard.php?lng=en&card=Lifelink) = explosive lemmings.
-
Rhox Faithmender (http://cards.deckstats.net/magiccard.php?lng=en&card=Rhox+Faithmender) + Celestial mantle (http://cards.deckstats.net/magiccard.php?lng=en&card=Celestial+Mantle).
I checked it. When it doubles life, the mechanic makes you "gain life equal to your life total."

You're wrong on both Soul Conduit (http://cards.deckstats.net/magiccard.php?lng=en&card=Soul+Conduit) and Celestial Mantle (http://cards.deckstats.net/magiccard.php?lng=en&card=Celestial+Mantle). Refer to their rulings on Gatherer, as well as Resolute Archangel (http://cards.deckstats.net/magiccard.php?lng=en&card=Resolute+Archangel).
Soul Conduit (http://cards.deckstats.net/magiccard.php?lng=en&card=Soul+Conduit): When the life totals are exchanged, each player gains or loses the amount of life necessary to equal the other player's previous life total. For example, if Player A has 5 life and Player B has 3 life before the exchange, Player A will lose 2 life and Player B will gain 2 life. Replacement effects may modify these gains and losses, and triggered abilities may trigger on them.
Celestial Mantle (http://cards.deckstats.net/magiccard.php?lng=en&card=Celestial+Mantle): If a player's life total is doubled, that player actually gains or loses the necessary amount of life. For example, if the life total of the enchanted creature's controller is 14 when Celestial Mantle (http://cards.deckstats.net/magiccard.php?lng=en&card=Celestial+Mantle)'s triggered ability resolves, the ability causes that player to gain 14 life. Other cards that interact with life gain or life loss will interact with this effect accordingly.
Resolute Archangel (http://cards.deckstats.net/magiccard.php?lng=en&card=Resolute+Archangel): If your life total is less than your starting life total, you actually gain the appropriate amount of life. Other effects that interact with life gain will interact with Resolute Archangel (http://cards.deckstats.net/magiccard.php?lng=en&card=Resolute+Archangel)’s ability accordingly.

Well that's a shame, one of the things I've always liked about magic is that the card's never need more explanation then whats on them. I guess that's not true. As far as I'm concerned that makes the text on both of those cards inaccurate to how they actually work.
-
Some cards that do particularly weird things require some further mechanical explanation, and there are even some cards that have undergone errata.
-
Since I'm new to the game, there's one combo I particularly like:
Kiora, Master of the Depths (http://cards.deckstats.net/magiccard.php?lng=en&card=Kiora%2C+Master+of+the+Depths), Kiora's Follower (http://cards.deckstats.net/magiccard.php?lng=en&card=Kiora%27s+Follower), and Verdant Haven (http://cards.deckstats.net/magiccard.php?lng=en&card=Verdant+Haven) for a UG Mana ramp Monstrosity deck lol

How are you getting Enter the Infinite (http://cards.deckstats.net/magiccard.php?lng=en&card=Enter+the+Infinite) into your graveyard?
Ob Nixilus, Unshackled + stain the mind (http://cards.deckstats.net/magiccard.php?lng=en&card=Stain+the+Mind).
Doesn't work; you're searching their deck, not them. If you want to make them search, use Fertilid (http://cards.deckstats.net/magiccard.php?lng=en&card=Fertilid) or Maralen of the Mornsong (http://cards.deckstats.net/magiccard.php?lng=en&card=Maralen+of+the+Mornsong). Collective Voyage (http://cards.deckstats.net/magiccard.php?lng=en&card=Collective+Voyage) is fun too.
-
Are there any black instances or sorcery cards from theros or tarkir that also have that capability? I probably have some cards from the older sets but I want to try and stay as up to date as possible.
-
The only other card that makes your opponent search their deck is Incoming! (http://cards.deckstats.net/magiccard.php?lng=en&card=Incoming%21).
-
Ok. But i just noticed that it says when the opponent searches their deck so that would would work if they use fetch lands and cards like evolving wilds (http://cards.deckstats.net/magiccard.php?lng=en&card=Evolving+Wilds) right?
-

Yes, but that isn't a thing you can control.
-
True but with the amount of value people put into using shock (http://cards.deckstats.net/magiccard.php?lng=en&card=Shock) lands and fetch lands for mana fixing nowadays it would be safe to say that deck searching for "better lands" is a self made player mechanic that competitive players use often. Also you could play with ghost quarter (http://cards.deckstats.net/magiccard.php?lng=en&card=Ghost+Quarter) and constantly destroy their lands to the point where if they don't search for any then they're struggling for mana every other turn. Also his effect does not have to be a game winner but rather a deterrent for those who want to use cards like diabolic tutor (http://cards.deckstats.net/magiccard.php?lng=en&card=Diabolic+Tutor) and such to look for certain situation based answers. If you think about it, if you kill enough creatures in a single turn then you just might force your opponent to search their deck for something to stop him. If they do then they get hurt and if they can't then they get hit in the face with a flying trampler whose probably a 10/10 if you're using bone splinter (http://cards.deckstats.net/magiccard.php?lng=en&card=Splinter) on tokens or on creatures such as festering goblin (http://cards.deckstats.net/magiccard.php?lng=en&card=Festering+Goblin) to kill other creatures in the process. It may not be the greatest combo in the world but it does leave room for creative deck ideas.

Although this is old school, of course so am I
Channel (http://cards.deckstats.net/magiccard.php?lng=en&card=Channel) Fireball (http://cards.deckstats.net/magiccard.php?lng=en&card=Fireball) was a huge favorite of mine but I think Siren's Call (http://cards.deckstats.net/magiccard.php?lng=en&card=Siren%27s+Call) and Festival (http://cards.deckstats.net/magiccard.php?lng=en&card=Festival) was the one I loved the most.

Long, complecated combo. First, you need a Food Chain (http://cards.deckstats.net/magiccard.php?lng=en&card=Food+Chain), then exile (http://cards.deckstats.net/magiccard.php?lng=en&card=Exile) a Misthollow Griffin (http://cards.deckstats.net/magiccard.php?lng=en&card=Misthollow+Griffin) or two infinte times to get infinte mana, then cast Genesis Hydra (http://cards.deckstats.net/magiccard.php?lng=en&card=Genesis-Hydra) for infinte, search for a Tidespout Tyrant (http://cards.deckstats.net/magiccard.php?lng=en&card=Tidespout+Tyrant), bounce the Misthollow Griffins to returen everything to their hands, bounce one more time, returning Baleful Strix (http://cards.deckstats.net/magiccard.php?lng=en&card=Baleful+Strix) to hand, cast it, draw a card, bounce another Baleful Strix (http://cards.deckstats.net/magiccard.php?lng=en&card=Baleful+Strix) to hand, draw out entire deck, before you cast the Strix in your hand, drop a Laboratory Maniac (http://cards.deckstats.net/magiccard.php?lng=en&card=Laboratory+Maniac), then draw a non-existient card and win :D

On your field have hornet nest (http://cards.deckstats.net/magiccard.php?lng=en&card=Hornet+Nest) and midnight guard (http://cards.deckstats.net/magiccard.php?lng=en&card=Midnight+Guard). Play setessian tatics on midnight guard (http://cards.deckstats.net/magiccard.php?lng=en&card=Midnight+Guard) and then play ephemeral shields (http://cards.deckstats.net/magiccard.php?lng=en&card=Ephemeral+Shields) on hornet nest (http://cards.deckstats.net/magiccard.php?lng=en&card=Hornet+Nest) , end up with an infinat number of 1/1 flyers with deathtouch.
I actually have a deck that uses Ob + Maralen. It's a pretty nasty combo if you get it out. I also throw in Aven Mindscensor if I'm playing modern (since stranglehold (http://cards.deckstats.net/magiccard.php?lng=en&card=Stranglehold) is not modern legal) to kind of shaft them. They have to hope a good card is in the top 4.
OH! That's good combo, too! Maralen of the Mornsong (http://cards.deckstats.net/magiccard.php?lng=en&card=Maralen+of+the+Mornsong) + Stranglehold (http://cards.deckstats.net/magiccard.php?lng=en&card=Stranglehold). Opponent is never able to put another card in his hand. Only good in legacy, though. Which is seriously a shame.

Oops, I just forgot. looks like I didn't answer your question. Personal favorite is frantic search (http://cards.deckstats.net/magiccard.php?lng=en&card=Frantic+Search) but you can use any card that gets a draw and discard. The deck I run uses lore broker (http://cards.deckstats.net/magiccard.php?lng=en&card=Lore+Broker), as it disrupts the other players too. I do have the deck here (http://deckstats.net/decks/46197/351303-infinite-lore/en) if you'd like to see it, I win maybe 80% of the time with it.

So, aside from clearing your board, what is the point of this interaction of cards?
-
Zada, Hedron Grinder (http://cards.deckstats.net/magiccard.php?lng=en&card=Zada%2C+Hedron+Grinder) + Hordeling Outburst (http://cards.deckstats.net/magiccard.php?lng=en&card=Hordeling+Outburst) + Collateral Damage (http://cards.deckstats.net/magiccard.php?lng=en&card=Collateral+Damage) blow up your creatures for massive damage
It doesn't work, you don't target the creature you sacrifice, and if you target Zada, Hedron grinder (http://cards.deckstats.net/magiccard.php?lng=en&card=Zada%2C+Hedron+Grinder) with the 3 damage, you'll get 2 copies (only 2, one of the goblin token has been sacrificed) so you clear your board...
-
Now if you played Zada, Hedron Grinder (http://cards.deckstats.net/magiccard.php?lng=en&card=Zada%2C+Hedron+Grinder) with feat of resistance (http://cards.deckstats.net/magiccard.php?lng=en&card=Feat+of+Resistance) or sure strike (http://cards.deckstats.net/magiccard.php?lng=en&card=Sure+Strike) then that would be a good combo. Remember itscraigwells, just because you are choosing a creature to be YOUR target it does not mean that the card registers your choice AS a target. If the card doesn't say "target creature" then Zada's effect won't copy over.
-
whhhhhaaaaaat thats dumb, just becuase collateral damages doesnt say target creature i cant blow up all my monster to do 3 damage each time??? well that is to say the least dissapointing
-
whhhhhaaaaaat thats dumb, just becuase collateral damages doesnt say target creature i cant blow up all my monster to do 3 damage each time??? well that is to say the least dissapointing
No, you can do exactly that. With at least Zada, Hedron Grinder (http://cards.deckstats.net/magiccard.php?lng=en&card=Zada%2C+Hedron+Grinder) and the three goblins in play, you can cast Collateral Damage (http://cards.deckstats.net/magiccard.php?lng=en&card=Collateral+Damage), sacrificing one of the goblins as an additional cost, targeting Zada, Hedron Grinder (http://cards.deckstats.net/magiccard.php?lng=en&card=Zada%2C+Hedron+Grinder). Zada, Hedron Grinder (http://cards.deckstats.net/magiccard.php?lng=en&card=Zada%2C+Hedron+Grinder) ability will trigger, creating a copy of Collateral Damage (http://cards.deckstats.net/magiccard.php?lng=en&card=Collateral+Damage) for each other creature you control. Per Zada, Hedron Grinder (http://cards.deckstats.net/magiccard.php?lng=en&card=Zada%2C+Hedron+Grinder)'s ability, you are forced to have each spell target a different creature you control.
So, for 1 Red and a goblin, you've dealt three damage to every creature you control. To the initial question, why?
-
could be useful with Mogg Maniac (http://cards.deckstats.net/magiccard.php?lng=en&card=Mogg+Maniac), Spitemare (http://cards.deckstats.net/magiccard.php?lng=en&card=Spitemare), Boros Reckoner (http://cards.deckstats.net/magiccard.php?lng=en&card=Boros+Reckoner) and Stuffy Doll (http://cards.deckstats.net/magiccard.php?lng=en&card=Stuffy+Doll):)... but id rather use Blasphemous Act (http://cards.deckstats.net/magiccard.php?lng=en&card=Blasphemous+Act).
-
bro think about what you are saying. i would use the collateral damage (http://cards.deckstats.net/magiccard.php?lng=en&card=Collateral+Damage) on zada and then copie it for each creature i have then i would deal 3 damage to my enemy for each creaute i sac'ced. that is thought process behind it.

the problem is you cant target your opponents with the copys created by Zada, Hedron Grinder (http://cards.deckstats.net/magiccard.php?lng=en&card=Zada%2C+Hedron+Grinder)
its in the english
Whenever you cast an instant or sorcery spell that targets only Zada, Hedron Grinder (http://cards.deckstats.net/magiccard.php?lng=en&card=Zada%2C+Hedron+Grinder), copy that spell for each other creature you control that the spell could target. Each copy targets a different one of those creatures. there is no option to target opponents.
because it says "Each copy targets a different one of those creatures" you will be forced to send the damage to the creature via collateral damage (http://cards.deckstats.net/magiccard.php?lng=en&card=Collateral+Damage) and not the player even though collateral damage (http://cards.deckstats.net/magiccard.php?lng=en&card=Collateral+Damage) gives a option to do both.
Assault Strobe (http://cards.deckstats.net/magiccard.php?lng=en&card=Assault+Strobe) are the kind of spells that were intended for Zada.

That's a great card. I actually found 1 copy of assault strobe (http://cards.deckstats.net/magiccard.php?lng=en&card=Assault+Strobe).

The Sacrifice requirement is an additional cost of casting the spell. There is no requirement to sacrifice creatures for the copies.
Are we being trolled?

In addition to some already mentioned:
Splinter (http://cards.deckstats.net/magiccard.php?lng=en&card=Splinter) + Myr Landshaper (http://cards.deckstats.net/magiccard.php?lng=en&card=Myr+Landshaper)
Iroas, God of Victory (http://cards.deckstats.net/magiccard.php?lng=en&card=Iroas%2C+God+of+Victory) + Battlefront Krushok (http://cards.deckstats.net/magiccard.php?lng=en&card=Battlefront+Krushok)
For 1 cheaper, you can also do splinter (http://cards.deckstats.net/magiccard.php?lng=en&card=Splinter) + liquimetal coating (http://cards.deckstats.net/magiccard.php?lng=en&card=Liquimetal+Coating). Easily my favorite land destruction combo right there.

not exactly... the sacrificing part of Collateral Damage (http://cards.deckstats.net/magiccard.php?lng=en&card=Collateral+Damage) is part of the Cost for the spell. You are copying the spell... not paying the cost of spell again.
example (If the spell Reverberate (http://cards.deckstats.net/magiccard.php?lng=en&card=Reverberate) copies has an X whose value was determined (http://cards.deckstats.net/magiccard.php?lng=en&card=Determined) as it was cast (like Earthquake (http://cards.deckstats.net/magiccard.php?lng=en&card=Earthquake) does), the copy has the same value of X.)
-
Actually you are copying , not casting and there is a diffrence. Hence there is a casting cost but 0 copying costs. For example:
You pay X to do X damage for a cost of a spell to cast it, copy does exactly that, copies so there is no payment. Only payment is the cost for the spell, which is that of copy. Better example: cast lava axe (http://cards.deckstats.net/magiccard.php?lng=en&card=Lava+Axe) for 5 mana, dealing 5 damage. Then cast reverberate (http://cards.deckstats.net/magiccard.php?lng=en&card=Reverberate) for 2 mana which makes a copy and deals 5 more damage. No additional cost of 5, making it 7 to get out the copy.
So again, casting and copying are 2 diffrent things. Fling (http://cards.deckstats.net/magiccard.php?lng=en&card=Fling) is another that comes to mind, you sacrifice a creature to cast, but pay nothing to copy it.
-
If asked for a favourite I'd have to say Waste Not (http://cards.deckstats.net/magiccard.php?lng=en&card=Waste+Not) + Words of waste (http://cards.deckstats.net/magiccard.php?lng=en&card=Words+of+Waste) + Geth's Grimoire (http://cards.deckstats.net/magiccard.php?lng=en&card=Geth%27s+Grimoire).
In your upkeep, trigger Words, when you go to draw, opponent discards. Trigger words again in response to Geth trigger, opponent discards again.
This gets really ugly in multiplayer. Whenever any opponent discards a land, you get free mana to get them to discard some more. Any creature gets you a 2/2, any non-land, non-creature gets you a card.
Even better if you can cantrip into it in your main-phase. Plenty of mana to finish up.
