Thanks for the feedback. I am glad to know I was correct on the scenarios that you have covered. You have helped me understand how the card functions properly given the different scenarios "with" and "without" targets which is why I chose Even the score , I was originally going to add The Meathook Massacre then I read the text as it states "each creature" and in that case their would be no cost reduction for me or cost increase for an opponent. Again thank you !

I just want to clarify a few different scenarios using Hinata, Dawn-Crowned , I looked through the forums for answers but no one has ever really given a solid example of what some of the casting costs might actually look like . spells with (x) or (x)(x) like Conflagrate . I posted a few examples below and have written down what I think it would cost , just wanted to compare my answers to someone who has a better understanding of this card .

scenario 1 I want to tap everything my opponents own on the table hypothetical 20 permanents, and I cast gridlock.

scenario 2 Player attacks me with 10 creatures I cast Rock Slide and I target all 10

scenario 3 opponent drew 4 cards and i cast Even the score to draw 3 cards

Trying to upgrade the Precon into something a bit more powerful . I would still like to keep the theme of the deck "unblockable" and add more feeders for counters . I dont want to stray to far from the path but I would like to splash in Monarch , and some synergy from connive with Containment Construct as well as some draw discard effects for punishment . Any creative ideas would be greatly appreciated , Im not the greatest deck builder .

I am really interested in making a sythis enchantress deck. I have made a list of all the cards that I own (I have about 50 more to add). I have looked at many of the other decks, but I am not positive if they are really play testing these or they are just fabricated. I'm just looking for suggestions from another person's perspective of people who play the game more than I do . Will be looking to eliminate 100 cards in the next few days and making the final cut in a week or so . I am very open to ideas and suggestions . I am not interested in the token build but I  want to use politics and taxes . I will be finishing the list tonight . Thanks for any help and ideas you provide !!

If I'm not mistaken I believe that there was a study done showing that the player that goes first in chess has a slightly higher chance of winning a match because they can make more active moves than reactive ones (i.e. the best defense is a good offense strategy), but I could be wrong about that.   

Chess is not a good reference for MTG in any format . Gary Kasparov begs to differ with your quote :-) . He redefined c4 and it still doesn"t have an answer almost 40 years later . I just do not think the 2 will ever be compatible . But I do enjoy reading the responses ! :-D

I recently acquired a wrenn and six but do not play r/g . the price is crazy it seems overwhelming strong . Not sure what will happen with this card but feel like its best to sell it  . Do any of you feel the same ? I do not want another Paradox Engine loss ( I have 7 of them) and did not enjoy the recent news .
