Have you considered taigam's scheming as a replacement for dig through time? While the draw two function isn't there, instead you can order your cards the way you want to receive them, or simply push them to the graveyard if they're all useless

On Talent of the Telepath; why is your opponent discarding their hand? Think you've misread the card.
Oops. Yep I totally misread that. Not their hand, the top seven of their library.
-facepalm-
I think that card still may have a place in the deck though.

Also, I can cut one or two off of tymaret but silumgar seems pretty important to me to have a playset of because
a.) I want to ensure I can get to him by the time turn 6 rolls around and,
B.) I plan on using him as a sacrifice once the creature he takes control of has left the battlefield.

Also what would you suggest I use in those two empty slots?

Steal, Slap, Feast

Like the title says, the primary objective of this deck is to steal your opponent's creatures, slap them with it, and then at the end step, "eat" (Sacrifice) it for a buff. I find that Dragonlord Silumgar works well with it, not only because he is a flying block, but his ability allows you to take an opponent's creature for an indefinite period of time, given you can keep him on the field.
Blood Host is a good rescue card as she buffs when you sacrifice and you gain two life from the whole transaction as well. Imagine the look on your opponent's face when you take their 9/9 Eldrazzi, hit them with annihilator 3, and then spend two manna to eat it, gain a +2/+2 and 2 life as well!
Talent of the Telepath was a last minute addition, and I find that the cost of casting is well-deserved as not only does your opponent have to discard their hand, but if they happen to have a really nice burn spell or (If you're up against white) A pacifism, you can take it and use it against them. Especially handy if you haven't drawn your control cards yet.
Fiery Conclusion is a good way to get rid of your opponent's two biggest creatures. Take control of one of them, cast the instant and sacrifice it to deal damage to another enemy-controlled creature. This IS a control deck, after all, and the main focus is keeping creatures out of the enemy's hands. Added bonus, of course, is that you get to use whatever he/she casts!
NOTE:
This deck is in alpha test phase. Comments and suggestions are appreciated!

Deck Reviews / [Standard] Underdog status until Endgame

Underdog status until Endgame

Here's the basic strategy:
Step one: Have a creature out on the battlefield
Step two: Cast Jeskai Ascendancy
Step three: Throw a retraction Helix on your creature and bounce the biggest baddie on the field
Step four: Drop Spidersilk net, untap your creature and add a +1/+1 counter to it.
Step Five: Tap your creature to retract Spidersilk Net.
Step six: Drop Spidersilk Net AGAIN, untap your creature and add a +1/+1 counter to it. Keep doing this until your creature has enough power to kill your opponent in one punch.
ALTERNATE ENDING:
If your opponent has quite a few creatures on the board already (Quite the possibility if you don't have a good draw or you completely miss your scry cards... It happens.) then you can choose to activate Jeskai Ascendency's second ability WHILE buffing your creature to allow you to draw cards until you hit Altar of the Brood. (If you haven't dropped a land this turn, drop a basic land from your huge pot of cards you've just drawn to ensure you can pay the manna cost for altar) Now, you can keep the combo going and mill your opponent's entire deck in the same turn.
Congratulations.
You just finished the game in one round probably while being underestimated because you have a dinky 0/3 starfish or a tiny 1/1 goblin out, while your opponent has a hand/board full of dragons or eldrazzi or something to that effect.
At this point you need to quickly pack up your cards before someone throws a fit, because people get REALLY upset that you one-turned them with a "Cheap" combo.

Now.
Here's the fun part...
Any comments on how to accelerate scry would be greatly appreciated. Currently the deck runs inconsistently. Sometimes it'll be great and the combo will come before anyone can do anything about it. But other times I'll completely miss out on basically ALL of my scrying power until way late game... and that means trouble as this combo is supposed to spring early game before opponents can afford huge creatures or fancy burn spells.
