Seems like a decent start to a deck, though I would suggest against using the Planeswalker Deck Jace. As with most Planeswalker Deck cards, it is way overcosted for what it does. Additionally I would recommend cutting down the number of 2-ofs you have. Often, when a deck is running many 2-ofs, it is a sign that you're not certain the best choice of card perhaps for a given mana cost. Try to determine which of your 2-ofs are the most important for the deck and which are the least, then cut out the worse ones and make the better ones 4-ofs.

Seems like an interesting idea. May I ask why you chose Modern and, more specifically, why you chose Lotus Cobra?

I'm playing Lantern Prison and opponent is playing Eldrazi Tron. I had an opponent audibly laugh at me during a recorded feature match when I played Mechanized Production on my Pithing Needle. His attitude became more salty and sour with every out I named in his deck from there

Karn Liberated, Endbringer, Ratchet Bomb, Sea Gate Wreckage, Ugin, the Spirit Dragon, and of course Goblin Balloon Brigade. He would stop for a while after every turn and think about what he could do, only to simply pass turn a minute after. He was not happy.

Holy crap, Lantern Prison with Mechanized Production sounds hilarious, do you still happen to have the decklist?

Seems almost as silly as my Legacy Starfish tribal XD

Yeah, I felt like the 3 drop slot was a little crammed but I suppose a Sunwing or 2 could go. I totally forgot about Deathgorge, so I'll certainly add that to the sideboard since I'd rather my other 3 drops except against specific decks. I thought about Regisaur but wasn't sure what to cut for it. Any suggestions? Also I apologize for being so harsh I was just getting kind of annoyed with all of the clickbait I've been seeing lately and kinda took it out on you.

This site could certainly do with less of your clickbait garbage.

Isn't this the exact same list MtgGoldfish used?

Why are you running Terra Eternal without manlands? Are you that afraid of land destruction?

I knew I had to make a Zur commander when I realized he could pull Phyrexian Unlife and Solemnity but this list does an awesome job at using him for more fun and interactive things. I also love the price, cause I'm cheap as hell. I'm definitely gonna build this asap!

When Demonic Pact came out, I spent so long trying to make the card work. I initially tried UB with bounce spells plus Crush of Tentacles for the finisher but it was pretty bad. I kept insisting to people that the card had combo potential but everyone ignored me until about a year later when someone made top 8 in a major tournament with Cat Pact. That's still my favourite deck to date. Death by kitty :3

@Cardagain
Yeah, this is gonna be my first control deck so it should be interesting. I had Drake Haven in the sideboard in my combo variant and it was super strong, so I definitely want that. I'm not sure how I feel about Horror of the Broken Lands. It seems to be the best and least aggressive of the creatures that get buffed by cycling but I still don't know if that kind of thing is even good enough. Thoughts?

@Soren
Surely you can see my frustration then, that you're clearly trying to help in a format that you know nothing about. I apologize for being rude, but you haven't really made any helpful comments thus far.

I swear to god you don't know how to read do you? In the above post I stated that numerous times, the deck is called "Ideas for", AND in the description it says "this is currently just a list of cards I'm considering for inclusion in the deck. THIS IS NOT A DECKLIST YET". I honestly don't know how much more explicit I could make it dude....

Also, wouldn't you know it, Consecrated Sphinx IS NOT STANDARD.

Edit: It's also worth noting that the ONLY standard legal card in that commander deck of yours that can draw cards is The Locust God, so rather than telling me to search the deck for so called draw engines it would have been much easier for you to just say that one card...

Oh whoops, I assumed if I posted the link, it being private wouldn't matter.

Anyways, I love the idea of Corrupted Grafstone for mana fixing. I never needed it in the combo version since I had Shefet Monitor, Weirding Wood, and Traverse the Ulvenwald, but without green that would help a ton!

I like Yahenni's Expertise, but I'm not sure if there are enough spells that would be worthwhile pairing it with to make it better than Swelting Suns. What do you think about Bontu's Last Reckoning? Effectively losing a turn seems pretty bad, but I'm not familiar enough with the aggressive decks to know if they would be able to rebuild their board that quickly. Hour of Devastation seems decent since it deals with gods like Kefnet, but I feel like you want to sideboard out boardwipes vs control anyways so I dunno.

I was more looking for help figuring out which ones would be the best for this particular deck. While that is indeed a grixis deck, I'm not sure which cards if any would be both good in this particular deck and also standard.
