that means  that Heartless Hidetsugu (http://cards.deckstats.net/magiccard.php?lng=de&card=Heartless+Hidetsugu) + Curse of Bloodletting (http://cards.deckstats.net/magiccard.php?lng=de&card=Curse+of+Bloodletting) would deal the full life dmg to the player or what?

Yes, it would, if they are at even life. If they are at odd life, it will deal their life - 1 as heartless hidegetsu rounds down. Though a curse will take care of that.

has virtually no defense though. maybe some wall of souls (http://cards.deckstats.net/magiccard.php?lng=en&card=Wall+of+Souls) would help and fit the theme?

the mana curve worries me tbh, but i think the wall of souls (http://cards.deckstats.net/magiccard.php?lng=de&card=Wall+of+Souls) would balance (http://cards.deckstats.net/magiccard.php?lng=de&card=Balance) it so yeah i would be for the wall as well

hmn I usually use extra myrs as blockers but wall of souls (http://cards.deckstats.net/magiccard.php?lng=en&card=Wall+of+Souls) would fit, but its not modern legal unfortunately.

I understand that your deck is curse themed but I do have an all black combo that I think you'll like;

Grim guardian (http://cards.deckstats.net/magiccard.php?lng=en&card=Grim+Guardian) (+) doomwake giant (http://cards.deckstats.net/magiccard.php?lng=en&card=Doomwake+Giant) (+) screams from within (http://cards.deckstats.net/magiccard.php?lng=en&card=Screams+from+Within) and ANY enchantments you may play equals DEATH.
