Can anyone tell me what the difference is between a standard deck, a modern deck, and an extended deck is?????
-
Modern allows older cards than standard, and extended, well, i don't know about that one!
-
Modern is 8th edition cards to now. Standard is new cards from the current year. Legacy is all cards from all time as long as they are not banned. And I don't know extended.

Ok well that's mKing more sense now thanx

Standard incorporates the two most recent blocks and core set (the previous years core set is still part of standard until the next block comes out- for instance M13 was still legal in standard after M14 came out last July until the Theros block released in September).
Extended was done away with as a sanctioned DCI format last August or September. It incorporated 3 core sets and 4 blocks.
Modern is everything from 8th edition to current.
