HOU Prerelease - WB zombie-ish deck (1 of 2 decks from sealed pool) (https://deckstats.net/decks/82140/766817-hou-prerelease-wb-zombie-ish-d?revision=0)
This deck was one of two constructed from the same sealed pool form the HOU Prerelease weekend. The other deck was weak rug, with some prowess upside and decent green fatties and blue spell tomfoolery. This was the first time I tried to build 2 complete decks from a 6 booster pool +1 rare. I played both during the event, and had more success and fun with this deck.
I spoke about a lot of how these cards worked for me in the HOU Prerelease thread on the forum. The lifelink (http://cards.deckstats.net/magiccard.php?lng=en&card=Lifelink) subtheme really kept me in games, even though I didn't have enough cards to maximize it. Removal was weak, so I really needed the lifegain.
Limited is a very different format, so i split up the deck sections by the way I split up cards when picking from a sealed pool - removal, creatures and themed creatures, combat tricks, other.
I didn't really have another good card or creature to add, so i went with 17 lands - Pitiless Vizier (http://cards.deckstats.net/magiccard.php?lng=en&card=Pitiless+Vizier) is not a very good card without synergy. It worked out well as I could usually use Unraveling Mummy (http://cards.deckstats.net/magiccard.php?lng=en&card=Unraveling+Mummy) to gain lifelink (http://cards.deckstats.net/magiccard.php?lng=en&card=Lifelink) as a mana sink.
