i don't think light up the stage (https://cards.deckstats.net/magiccard.php?lng=it&card=Light+Up+the+Stage) fits really well in this deck, if u exile (https://cards.deckstats.net/magiccard.php?lng=it&card=Exile) bedlam (https://cards.deckstats.net/magiccard.php?lng=it&card=Bedlam) or phoenix u probably wouldn't able to cast them.

Perfect observation, but for a deck with 18 lands, only faithless looting (https://cards.deckstats.net/magiccard.php?lng=en&card=Faithless+Looting) to correct the start of the game, many games you can saty without land for to play. Even if you risk losing some cards as you said, the benefit is much higher. Also in the mid game card becomes more viable bringing more features.
