Walkers with static abilities and a new keyword Amass
-
Pt 1

Pt 2

Pt 3

Pt 4
-
Ravnica at War is going to be nuts.. 4 mana to exile (https://cards.deckstats.net/magiccard.php?utf8=1&lng=en&card=Exile) any multicolored permanents is going to hose a lot of playable cards that will become unplayable especially in standard.
Then the planeswalkers so far that have no way to uptick themselves besides Ajani with of course the minus ability just turns them into so far meh. Liliana can't even hit her ultimate without Ajani possibly helping so far. Oops we do have proliferate so it may not be a bad thing if planeswalkers can't hit ultimates.
Amass looks like a very interesting new mechanic. Gives you at least an opportunity (https://cards.deckstats.net/magiccard.php?utf8=1&lng=en&card=Opportunity) to start an army if you don't have one yet with a zombie token
-
Yeah first impressions I think Amass could actually be good gameplay wise, and I like the static abilities on walkers. This set so far seems really bad for EDH but decently strong for everything else. I can see Grixis (https://cards.deckstats.net/magiccard.php?utf8=1&lng=en&card=Grixis) Zombies/Amass in Modern maybe?

Pt 5
-
So Citadel is fucking insane in EDH
-
I think Circu, Dimir Lobotomist (https://cards.deckstats.net/magiccard.php?utf8=1&lng=en&card=Circu%2C+Dimir-Lobotomist) just got a lot crazier. If it's a non-land, pay life to cast it. If it's a land, exile (https://cards.deckstats.net/magiccard.php?utf8=1&lng=en&card=Exile) it away.
-
LOL yes it is insane.. I am sure you already have ideas that beat mine.. but torment of hailfire (https://cards.deckstats.net/magiccard.php?utf8=1&lng=en&card=Torment+of+Hailfire) for 50 alex.. oops I lose 52 life to do that.. Before I think of that would X (https://cards.deckstats.net/magiccard.php?utf8=1&lng=en&card=X) be zero? Just making sure because if it can be any amount then casting anything with X (https://cards.deckstats.net/magiccard.php?utf8=1&lng=en&card=X) in it's cost with Citadel is going to be extremely bonkers.
Sorry people as I sac my 10 tokens to take 10 life away from you all, oops I had my blood artist (https://cards.deckstats.net/magiccard.php?utf8=1&lng=en&card=Blood+Artist) on the field with my 10 creature tokens so lose an additional 10 more life. What was that? Oh I forgot I had Exquisite Blood (https://cards.deckstats.net/magiccard.php?utf8=1&lng=en&card=Exquisite+Blood) in play and Oooh I also have the enchantment in play that Sheldon despises of Wound Reflection (https://cards.deckstats.net/magiccard.php?utf8=1&lng=en&card=Wound+Reflection)
-
UUUUUUUUUUUUUU.FO.!!!!!!!!
-
I believe X (https://cards.deckstats.net/magiccard.php?utf8=1&lng=en&card=X) would have to be 0, because it says cmc
-
Pt 6
-
Pt 7ish?
-
So... Rare, non-Planeswalker cards exist... Yet all packs will have a Planeswalker... Hmmm.... Curiouser and curiouser...
-
I think they may be replacing the token or something? That would be smart
-
It's probably going to work out the same way as Dominaria did for a legendary creature in each pack.
-
Pt 7
-
Basically impossible to read
-
Go to the reddit, there's a higher res version of the spoiler ^

(5)
-
I see with so many planeswalkers and thier inability to add loyalty counters, I see that they are bringing back the proliferate ability
Can’t wait to see how much proliferation there will be
-
Meh
-
So are we not going to talk about this card?
You can pay life instead of mana to cast the top card of your library, and you can keep doing this until you inevitably hit a land. But...
- Necropotence (https://cards.deckstats.net/magiccard.php?utf8=1&lng=en&card=Necropotence) can exile (https://cards.deckstats.net/magiccard.php?utf8=1&lng=en&card=Exile) that card for you.
- Circu, Dimir Lobotomist (https://cards.deckstats.net/magiccard.php?utf8=1&lng=en&card=Circu%2C+Dimir-Lobotomist) can exile (https://cards.deckstats.net/magiccard.php?utf8=1&lng=en&card=Exile) the land, so long as the card you just cast was blue or black.
- Yidris, Maelstrom Wielder (https://cards.deckstats.net/magiccard.php?utf8=1&lng=en&card=Yidris%2C+Maelstrom+Wielder) can cascade through this.
- You can use Vampiric Tutor (https://cards.deckstats.net/magiccard.php?utf8=1&lng=en&card=Vampiric+Tutor) or Mystical Tutor (https://cards.deckstats.net/magiccard.php?utf8=1&lng=en&card=Mystical+Tutor) or most one mana tutors to put a card on top, then immediately cast it.
- Aetherflux Reservoir (https://cards.deckstats.net/magiccard.php?utf8=1&lng=en&card=Aetherflux+Reservoir) basically negates the lifeloss.
This card is crazy. Not every deck will use it, but every deck that does will abuse it.
-
I mean I think it'll put Breya back on the map, the problem is it has no combos so it's stuck as a broken combination of Ad Nauseam (https://cards.deckstats.net/magiccard.php?utf8=1&lng=en&card=Ad+Nauseam) and Necropotence (https://cards.deckstats.net/magiccard.php?utf8=1&lng=en&card=Necropotence) that can't guarantee a win on its own
Also u forgot to mention Sensei's Divining Top (https://cards.deckstats.net/magiccard.php?utf8=1&lng=en&card=Sensei%27s+Divining+Top)..
-
The new ral also seems crazy
~Whenever you cast or copy an instant or sorcery spell, Ral, Storm Conduit deals 1 damage to target opponent or planeswalker.
[+2]: Scry 1.
[-2]: When you cast your next instant or sorcery spell this turn, copy that spell. You may choose new targets for the copy.
step 1: activate his -2
step 2: play a big threat (non instant/sorcery)
step 3: if some1 counters this threat, play any copy spell like Twincast (https://cards.deckstats.net/magiccard.php?utf8=1&lng=de&card=Twincast)
step 4: copy twincast (https://cards.deckstats.net/magiccard.php?utf8=1&lng=de&card=Twincast) with with rals -2 trigger
step 5: copy twincast (https://cards.deckstats.net/magiccard.php?utf8=1&lng=de&card=Twincast) with itself
step 6: repeat step 5 until everone else is dead (https://cards.deckstats.net/magiccard.php?utf8=1&lng=de&card=Dead), then copy the counterspell (https://cards.deckstats.net/magiccard.php?utf8=1&lng=de&card=Counterspell) to break the loop
GG

Why do u need to break the loop if everyone is dead (https://cards.deckstats.net/magiccard.php?utf8=1&lng=en&card=Dead)

Pt 8
-
And one more
-
Three thoughts so far....
1- curious to see how the Amass mechanic fully works with what other cards are released for it
2- Bolas's Citadel is gonna do some work in my Sidisi deck
3- I want a playable Koth! Though I don't want one that ends (https://cards.deckstats.net/magiccard.php?utf8=1&lng=en&card=Ends) up with only 1 ability so maybe I'll hold that request for another set
-
This new Liliana will be going riiight into my Teysa Aristocrats deck.
It gives draw, tokens and an edict effect? I'm in, I want it.
-
Aaaaaand yet another shiny new toy for me!

Lol I mentioned this card allready but lets also think scroll rack (https://cards.deckstats.net/magiccard.php?utf8=1&lng=en&card=Scroll+Rack). You have 7 cards in hand with 2 lands. Dump all 7 putting the 5 spells ahead of the lands, cast 5 spells using the life. Anything that helps manipulate the top of the deck will make this card bonkers. It's definately also help amanatou (SP). Way to much potential for this card. The sac 10 permanents will be hardly used. Even if you are hardly playing any type of life gain, one will still use this card. I'll tooth and nail (https://cards.deckstats.net/magiccard.php?utf8=1&lng=en&card=Tooth+and+Nail) anyday paying life. Didn't wizards learn anything with pyrexia? Using life as another resource just doesn't hinder (https://cards.deckstats.net/magiccard.php?utf8=1&lng=en&card=Hinder) anything. Surveil and scry got better with this card, bounce a permanent you own back to the top of your deck. Again way to much potential
-
I think x (https://cards.deckstats.net/magiccard.php?utf8=1&lng=en&card=X) would have to be zero for Bolas's Citadel because it says you can pay life equal to its cmc and everywhere except the stack the cmc of torment of hailfire (https://cards.deckstats.net/magiccard.php?utf8=1&lng=en&card=Torment+of+Hailfire) is 2. I, for one, am excited to play Bolas's Citadel just because it is the god pharoph's citadel. I automatically win because I control his freaking palace!
-
I am making a Nicol Bolas (https://cards.deckstats.net/magiccard.php?utf8=1&lng=en&card=Nicol+Bolas) Tribal edh deck with Nicol Bolas, the Ravager (https://cards.deckstats.net/magiccard.php?utf8=1&lng=en&card=Nicol+Bolas%2C+the+Ravager) as the commander. This new Nicol Bolas (https://cards.deckstats.net/magiccard.php?utf8=1&lng=en&card=Nicol+Bolas), Dragon God has swayed me to finally do it.
-
Oooh oooh suggestion. How about a deck making challange edh style with this citadel. Then once the chalange is done/closed. Those who participated vote secretly by pm to a non bias party like say morgantor :) Tally the votes and announce placements. Something along those lines?

I will happily be a non-biased judge for this. I can't promise any reward other than Deckstats fame, but this could be fun.

Why do u need to break the loop if everyone is dead (https://cards.deckstats.net/magiccard.php?utf8=1&lng=en&card=Dead)
Well, at least if you can't kill some1 with damage, it could be useful to be able to break the loop.
Besides that, I got told that infinite loops without a break condition result in a draw.
-
Well no because ur copy of the copy spell needs to resolve to continue the loop, so his damage triggers will resolve I believe

FINALLY brewing space for EDH, I've been waiting for the legends to be spoiled

RIP mythicspoiler crashed

Maybe it's just me looking at it from "what will fit into my EDH decks" point of view, but I've only seen 1 or 2 cards that really have my interest piqued.

Mythic Spoiler has been up and down for a while now.

Activated abilities of artifacts your opponents control can't be activated

We discussed Citadel a bit... Can we talk about how broken Karn (https://cards.deckstats.net/magiccard.php?utf8=1&lng=en&card=Karn) is? First off, in EDH, all your opponents mana rocks: gone (https://cards.deckstats.net/magiccard.php?utf8=1&lng=en&card=Gone). Just do nothing. Second off, the -2... Does not specify that it has to be legal in format. It says ANY artifact you own, so... Blightsteel Colossus (https://cards.deckstats.net/magiccard.php?utf8=1&lng=en&card=Blightsteel+Colossus) in Standard, anyone? Or maybe just Darksteel Citadel (https://cards.deckstats.net/magiccard.php?utf8=1&lng=en&card=Darksteel+Citadel)? Any number of Sol Rings for EDH, you say? Um... I think this has the ability to break every format except Pauper...

It comes from your sideboard, so it has to be legal and it doesn't work in EDH.

In any sanctioned event "outside the game" refers to your sideboard specifically. You can't even grab something in exile (https://cards.deckstats.net/magiccard.php?utf8=1&lng=en&card=Exile) because it is technically in the game, but karn (https://cards.deckstats.net/magiccard.php?utf8=1&lng=en&card=Karn) specifically says you can target an exiled card, so you can. The original wish cards like death wish (https://cards.deckstats.net/magiccard.php?utf8=1&lng=en&card=Death+Wish) and glistening wish did not allow that.

Okay how do you link cards without saying their complete names, commas and everything? And how are you linking the war of the sparks cards? I don't think it worked yesterday when I did Nicol Bolas, Dragon-God (https://cards.deckstats.net/magiccard.php?utf8=1&lng=en&card=Nicol+Bolas%2C+Dragon-God)

Wyrm.. Jiang Yanggu (https://cards.deckstats.net/magiccard.php?utf8=1&lng=en&card=Jiang+Yanggu) is being linked and isnt a WAR card. Jiang Yanggu, Wildcrafter (https://cards.deckstats.net/magiccard.php?utf8=1&lng=en&card=Jiang+Yanggu%2C+Wildcrafter) is completely different and isn't being linked because WAR is not in the deckstats database yet

FINALLY brewing space for EDH, I've been waiting for the legends to be spoiled
That Neheb, though. I want to put that into my Locust God EDH more than anything at the moment.
The way I had someone explain how he works with madness earlier is gross. Essentially you can discard all the cards you want, madness is delayed going on the stack, then you draw your new cards and get the mana. Now the madness triggers get added to the stack and can spend all that new mana. Yikes.
-
Okay how do you link cards without saying their complete names, commas and everything?
So this is very off-topic, but there's two ways. The first is to copy the url for Rishkar from Magic-forum.de, and then in the section for the name (after the link, but before the [/url] code) change it to "Rishkar".
Or you can do it my way: make your post with the full name, then edit the post and delete the ", Peema Renegade" part.
If someone wants to continue talking about tricks like this, either start a new post or send me a private message. Let's get back to spoilers.

Hmm. I would compare it more to decimate (https://cards.deckstats.net/magiccard.php?utf8=1&lng=en&card=Devastate) than windgrace's judgement. I love decimate (https://cards.deckstats.net/magiccard.php?utf8=1&lng=en&card=Decimate) because I can destroy problematic cards on across the board, or wreck an opponent that is too far ahead, and this seems like just a more expensive decimate (https://cards.deckstats.net/magiccard.php?utf8=1&lng=en&card=Decimate) if there arent any walkers on the field. Perhaps once war of the spark is released we'll know for sure how many walkers there are that see legitimate play and maybe it'll be worth it. I would play decimate (https://cards.deckstats.net/magiccard.php?utf8=1&lng=en&card=Decimate) over casualties of war, but in specifically golgari, I do like it more than windgrace's judgement.
-
Wrym,
If I am reading casualties of war correctly. It says choose one or more. More says to me that it is all of them. An artifact, creature, enchantment, land and a planeswalker to destroy all for 6 mana. 5 targets for 6 mana isn't to shabby especially in my EDH meta where there is more than likely one of my opponents has those targets to destroy. LOL guess it is just my meta/playgroups I play in. They tend to look for the biggest optimizational play they can make instead of also focusing on slowing down the other opponents with multiple choice removal.
Other than that, great job Sorin with posting with the spoilers keep up the great work
-
It reminds me a lot of Decimate (https://cards.deckstats.net/magiccard.php?utf8=1&lng=en&card=Decimate). It's great because you can spread the removal around and it can be pretty devastating if you decide to direct it all at one player. If you cast it early it can send someone back so far that they may never recover (https://cards.deckstats.net/magiccard.php?utf8=1&lng=en&card=Recover).
Wyrm, was that the card you meant to compare it too?

Hmm.
That is exactly what I was thinking. I run blue sun's zenith (https://cards.deckstats.net/magiccard.php?utf8=1&lng=en&card=Blue+Sun%27s+Zenith) in my The Locust God (https://cards.deckstats.net/magiccard.php?utf8=1&lng=en&card=The+Locust+God) deck, and I will admit, i have never actually needed to use it. It usually get's wheeled (https://cards.deckstats.net/magiccard.php?utf8=1&lng=en&card=Wheel+of+Fortune) away because I would rather wheel twice for 10+ cards for around 5-7 mana depending on the wheel effects used, and create that many insects than sink that 7 mana into blue sun's zenith (https://cards.deckstats.net/magiccard.php?utf8=1&lng=en&card=Blue+Sun%27s+Zenith) for 4 cards, even at instant speed. And I honestly don't think the timetwister (https://cards.deckstats.net/magiccard.php?utf8=1&lng=en&card=Timetwister) effect is enough to make it worth it. There are other things I would rather do with my 12 mana.
Edit: I just reread the card, and I forgot about the untap 5 lands clause if x (https://cards.deckstats.net/magiccard.php?utf8=1&lng=en&card=X) is 10 or more. This still doesn't change my opinion about the card. I can several times of me having 12 mana, and each time I won that turn. I don't see Finale of Revelation (https://cards.deckstats.net/magiccard.php?utf8=1&lng=en&card=Revelation) winning me the game for 12 mana. But I mean I guess it warrants play testing, so I will definitely proxy it in for the next time I play.

I think its a more expensive, but better version of decimate (https://cards.deckstats.net/magiccard.php?utf8=1&lng=de&card=Decimate) since you aren't forced to destroy a target of every type. So if you're the only 1 with Enchantments, you don't need to destroy 1 of them.

All of his friends/allies died, causing his spark to ignite. He then spent the rest of his life trying to right that wrong by being who we all know and love. Honest, noble, honorably, (Eddard Stark). He was what we all aspire to be. He sacrifices himself for the most beautiful plansewalker in MTG (https://cards.deckstats.net/magiccard.php?utf8=1&lng=en&card=Liliana+of+the+Veil). Not because they are besties, but because he knows it has to be done for the good of Ravnica and the rest of the multiverse. It was either die for Liliana, or die from the elder spell. Either way he died. (Much like how Sean Bean died playing both Eddard Stark AND Boromir. So sad.) Some people are destined to die.
I think we can all agree he accomplished his goal. He did right his wrong.
